Kuwarra Park in Broadbeach is a small but beautiful green space that offers a quiet escape right in the middle of the city’s buzz. We discovered it while walking from the Broadbeach tram stop and were pleasantly surprised by how peaceful and clean it was, despite being so central.
The park is well-maintained, with lush grass, tall palm trees, and a few shaded areas perfect for relaxing, reading, or enjoying a picnic. It’s not a large playground-style park, but more of a calming open space — ideal for anyone looking to take a breather from the nearby beach crowds or shopping centres.
What we loved most was the atmosphere. Even though it’s surrounded by apartment buildings and just minutes from The Oasis Shopping Centre, Kuwarra Park still feels calm and quiet. There were a few families, some people walking their dogs, and others just sitting on the grass enjoying the afternoon sun.
There’s a nice walking path that runs through the park, and it connects well to other parts of Broadbeach. If you’re staying nearby, it’s a lovely place for your morning coffee walk or an evening stroll. At sunset, the light hits the trees beautifully and gives the whole space a soft, golden glow.
While there aren’t any major facilities like toilets or a big playground, there are benches and open areas for kids to run around or for couples to relax and chat. It’s not a destination park, but it’s definitely a peaceful little stop that adds to the charm of Broadbeach.
It’s also great for photographers — the tall trees and city buildings in the background give you some cool contrast shots, especially in the early morning or late afternoon light.
In short, Kuwarra Park is a quiet, clean, and underrated green space in Broadbeach. It might not look like much at first glance, but once you’re there, it really grows on you. Perfect for a quick break, a moment of peace, or just enjoying a bit of nature in the heart...
Read moreNice family friendly park and beach on Gold Coast. Have a play and swim. The beach is amazing and is part of many miles and kilometres of the Gold Coast beach. There is a market on every first Sunday of the month with lots of home-made goodies, homecooked food, great art and craft pieces and lots of gift ideas for pets and children. But the beach ⛱️ is the place to go, and I consider it one of the most beautiful places in the world. Lots of people go to the beach for early morning walks and surfing before work, and on the footpaths just outside the sand, by the road, there are lots of walkers and joggers. The beach is not busy and has a good breadth of sand as well, so you have plenty of space to sit, put your beach umbrellas up and other people don't have to walk around you. The beach is also patrolled (at specific times) and there are surf life saving outposts at regular intervals along the beach. Shops are not far off, and there are supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, fast good joints all close by. Best time to go to the beach for a stroll is either early morning or late afternoon. Heaps of car parking for early morning walkers to park cars, and car parking next to the beach is free till about 9am. Overall an amazing place...
Read moreAlthough this is a great family'friendly park we didn't go to the park. We actually parked our car at the parking lot close to it and crossed the road to go to a great coffee cafe called Madison's at the Oasis shopping centre at Broadbeach. But getting back to the park...I've walked the park many times and I must say it is definitely an ideal place to go to for a nice family day out and picnic. There's a nice fenced in playground for the children and while playing parents can keep an eye on them as there are shade trees and seating right there. The park is also dog-friendly. And if you're there at the right time you might see the "bird-man" in the park. The butcherbirds may even land on your arm to take a tasty morsal from you! Under the guidance of the "bird-man" of course! 🦜 Also, if you look along the bushland of the park in between the walkways down to the beach, you might glimpse the bush turkey or turkey's walking around or sitting on their nest. Have a...
