I ordered the Spaghetti San Remo ($45), excited to enjoy prawns and crab meat as described on the menu. While the dish was there, I couldn’t find any crab meat at all. When I asked the waiter, I was told: “The crab meat is in the sauce. You may or may not see it, but it’s there.” Honestly, that explanation was disappointing. If the crab meat is so minimal that it’s invisible, it shouldn’t be advertised as a key ingredient. The menu specifically says “fresh green prawns & crab meat”—which gives customers the clear expectation of actual pieces of crab, not just a vague claim that it’s blended somewhere in the sauce. Paying $45 for a dish where one of the main ingredients is practically non-existent feels misleading.

The Seafood Capri was nothing short of divine — a dish that lingers in your memory long after the last bite. Perfectly balanced in flavor, it showcased the ocean’s finest treasures: plump, sweet king prawns, delicately briny oysters, and silky smoked salmon. All of this was artfully layered over a bed of peppery rocket and toasted pine nuts, adding both depth and crunch. The crowning glory was the citrus ginger dressing — bright, zesty, and aromatic, it elevated every element to perfection. This wasn’t just a meal; it was an experience of elegance and indulgence.

We came in for dinner on a Wednesday night, and the restaurant was already packed by 6:30 pm — we were lucky to get a table! We ordered both the vegetarian and seafood pizzas, which were super tasty with a great balance of toppings. For mains, we tried the spaghetti marinara — one with olive oil and one with a tomato-based sauce. My daughter and I preferred the olive oil version, while my husband enjoyed the tomato-based one. We also had a side of broccolini, which was cooked perfectly. Overall, a delicious and satisfying meal!

We have dined at Mario's many times. The food has usually been fabulous and the service excellent - until last night. We ordered 2 small pizzas, one gluten free - and one salad. One small pizza and one medium pizza arrived, with the salad. When we pointed out to the waitress that this wasn't what we ordered she informed us that gluten free pizzas only come in medium size. As it turned out, the pizzas and he salad had all been through the flavour extractor. Somehow, Marios had managed to make them all tastless. On the way out, I thought the right thing to do was to point out to the Restaurant Manager that their staff should be briefed to point out to anyone ordering a gluten free pizza that thy are only available in the medium size. We were not informed and therefore had no other options. The tattooed Manager (on 17/08/25) rudely (and quite aggressively) said that we had been informed. 'Where?',I said. 'It's on the menu', she retorted. 'Show me', I said. She stormed off, grabbed the menu and said'here', pointing at the bottom of the huge menu. Suffice to say, she kept arguing. And I kept repeating, 'I think you are obliged to explain that your customer's order will not be fulfilled. They will not get two small iizzas and they will have to pay more. This Manager (who is obviously in the wrong job) never agreed that they had maybe slipped up - but she did (generously) offer to refund the difference, I simply couldn't make her undersand that I was't looking for (and would not accept) any refund. I was simply helping her to help her staff do the right thing. I didn't even mention that all three dishes were barely worth a score of 2 out of 10. We won't be...

I have only been going to this restaurant for the last couple of weeks . Been here with my brother three times for lunch. Had a lunch business meeting here and all was fine. On Friday night my cousin and her husband arrived from Sydney for the weekend. Because I work in the vicinity I walked into Mario's and asked if it was possible to make a booking for dinner. Was told not a problem as they weren't very busy because of the weather. I requested table 45 for 6.30 and was told this was fine and she wrote it in her book. I walked past at 6.15 the table had reserved on it but decided not to go in yet as it was abit early. I went in at 6.25 to sit down and wait for my guests . At this stage the table was given to someone else. I was told I could no longer have this table. The woman in charge promptly told me that they are a very busy restaurant and that I shouldn't expect them to keep the table for me. I told her that I wasn't late in fact I was 5 minutes early. She said that they couldn't keep tables for people when they are such a busy restaurant. Because I didnt want to ruin the experience for my guests I persevered. I chose a vacant table close to where I had chosen previously. This person was very reluctant to give it to me because it was a 6 person table. She made her displeasure quite clear but gave it to me. If she had said sorry i didn't check the bookings and made a mistake I would...

I think the food would had been delicious, but the service experience just wasn’t a 100%. My table had waited for an hour since we ordered our mains. I had asked a waiter how long the food was gonna take and they said they would ask and haven’t came back after 10 minutes.

My table couldn’t wait any longer for their food as they had to be somewhere, so I told them to go and I’d stay to cover the bill for the two drink and one garlic bread we got at the beginning. I explained the situation to another waiter and asked for the bill. And I had to wait 30 minutes just to pay. I had asked 3 different waiters for the bill during that time and all I wanted to do was leave already. I was hungry, frustrated and just upset I couldn’t leave after waiting for an hour of no food and another 30 minutes just to get the bill.

I sat there trying to hold back tears, I know it was silly to cry but like I just want to go. The couple next to me had to step in, calling the manager and covered for the drinks, garlic bread and I was finally able to leave. I’m grateful for the couple that stepped in but also felt so bad the couple had to save me and I felt worst (when I shouldn’t) for feeling like I’m causing trouble cause like it’s an error, it can happen. But I shouldn’t had to watch them fiddle around after I asked for the bill 3 times.

After an hour and 30 minutes the service just awful and...
