I have just watched an episode on tv of this zoo. Where a perfectly healthy cub is taken from his mother at 2 weeks old to be manhandled and fed formula?! How can formula be better than milk from his Mother? Also The keeper then goes on to say, It's sad she will morn for few weeks then will accept that hes not there anymore! How is this within being as close to there natural instincts, Where is the consideration. I Also heard the keeper say to jusify there unnessary actions..well they lose half there litter in the wild...ok maybe but the Tiger I just seen had one cub. Read more10/10, highly recommend the Tiger Show at Dreamworld to anybody that's interested or considering. Very informative show done by the trainers who are evidently very passionate, caring and loving for their furry friend. It's amazing to see the relationship they've established with the magestic tigers and they do not rush or force the tigers to engage in any activity they don't want. I've been to various other zoos around Australia and these by far seemed to be the most lively and happiest tigers in enclosures. The staff do a great job of educating visitors about the animals and the importance of conservation efforts. The presentation was engaging, but I did wish the overall experience lasted a little longer. It's not a full-day event, so plan to do something else afterward.
