Located on Dreamworld Parkway, Coomera, Queensland, Australia 🇦🇺. Admission Tickets - Adult $109.00 Children (3-13 years) $99.00 If local, you might consider the annual pass. I always found the rides at Dreamworld to be better. They give you more of a thrill and there’s more of them. You get to choose from the Jungle Rush, the Dreamworld Flyer, my personal favourite the Steel Taipan, my other favourite the Sky Voyager and many more. There’s some great rides for the kids also like the Bananas in Pyjamas Carousel, the Big Red Boat Coaster and there’s also the Bananas in Pyjamas Fun Maze. The Dreamworld Lego Store is definitely worth the visit. The creations are amazing. There’s a lot of souvenirs shops, particularly on the Main Street. There’s plenty of places to have something to eat, but be prepared that the prices are high. There’s Jane’s Rivertown Restaurant, Diggity-Dogs, Green Bean Coffee Co, there’s a Churros Stand on Main Street, Food Central which is where we ate. There’s a pretty good range of burgers 🍔, hotdogs, kids meals for as good a price you’ll get. There’s also Kenny’s Fried Chicken on Main Street. There’s plenty of places to eat and have an ice cream 🍦 if you wanted. Dreamworld is also a wildlife conservation park and there’s plenty of animals to see. Tiger 🐅 Island is fantastic. The tiger’s are so majestic. You have the Bengal tiger and the Sumatran tiger to see there. This was my personal favourite part of going to Dreamworld. There’s some interesting educational presentations also to take advantage of like the crocodile 🐊 presentation, the koala 🐨 talk and the Bilby talk. There’s heaps of other animals like the tree kangaroo, the cassowary, the Dingo’s, the kangaroo’s, and many others. Don’t go to Dreamworld thinking it’s going to be an inexpensive day, especially if you go in a group. I went in a group of 5 people (2 Adults, 3 Children) and we spent at least $650.00 after buying food, tickets and souvenirs. So, I highly recommend, if possible, to go in the off season. We came in the off season and the lines for rides were still pretty long. I have been to Dreamworld at Peak season and the lines were terrible. Overall, our day was great, despite the cost. I would definitely recommend....
Read moreWe already visited many themeparks in the US and Europe, and were excited to visit Australia' largest themepark. But honestly, we never spent a day so bored and frustrated in a theme park than today in Dreamworld. We started off enthusiastic at 10am and got in line at Sky Voyager. But waiting 75 minutes for a 10 min thrill is just out of proportion. I was also utterly amazed that Dreamworld does nothing to entertain the crowd while waiting. There is a huge screen in the last waiting hall showing a still picture showing "boarding commencing soon". In the room before that a pop trivia quiz was on a screen. But that keeps no one entertained, especially not kids. It would have been so easy to show some moving images (that grabs the attention of kids!) and build up some excitement for the ride. We ended up downloading mobile games to keep the kids from dying from boredom. When we finally made it on the ride, our mood was already so sour the 10 minute thrill did not help much to lift our spirits. We then got food, which was not special, just the same old junk food you find everywhere else too. We continued on, but waiting time was 60+ minutes everywhere else too (except maybe the rides for the youngest ones). After four hours we left Dreamworld frustrated and bored. I get that school holidays attracts the masses, but why Dreamworld schedules regular maintenance of three rides during peak season is beyond me. That's 15% of the whole park! While we were there, two more were out of order too. So 25% of all rides were effectively out of order! So no wonder waiting time was so disproporionate. With all that waiting time, you might be able to do four rides during the whole day. So that equals to 4-5 hours of utter boredom waiting in line compared to 20-30 minutes of fun. Honestly, save your money buying tickets for a family of four and spent half that money in the Lego Shop next door. That gives your kids hours of joy and parents the equal amount of bliss having happy kids. Sorry Dreamworld, the day today just...
Read moreI've visited Dreamworld many times over the last 25-30 years. How it is currently does not even come close to the fun and entertainment I've experienced in the past. It's important to consider the works going on, as a result of the tragic river rapids accident several years ago and how the post-covid world has impacted businesses and safety standards. The rides that were open were good, but I was disappointed with how small the park has become, despite the increase in ticket prices. It's genuinely half the size it used to be, and the rides are so much more geared towards smaller children, which is sad for teens and adults that want to enjoy thrill rides (and especially considering that Dreamworld used to be the go-to for teens and adults, as Movie World caters to smaller children more as well). The food options were very limited, not very tasty, very pricey, and you're not supposed to bring your own food into the park anymore. There are also a limited number of shows, and only one of them (a single Tiger Island presentation) is geared towards adults. The Night Market was a fun novelty, but it was small, with limited market vendor options. The food trucks were cool, and it was great that the whole park is licenced so you're not stuck in the bar if you want a drink. However, the food trucks absolutely gouge you with prices, on top of an already very expensive day out. Things I would highly recommend if visiting again: the Steel Taipan Tailwhip Experience ($25pp), do the Giant Drop early in the day to avoid queues, get to the Tiger Island show about 30 mins prior to the start to secure a seat, bring your own snacks or a packed lunch you can have at your car (we had a fridge and did this) as they allow you to leave for short periods, and use the water bottle refill station at the toilets near the DragonSlayer ride to avoid spending large amounts on bottled water. We still had a great day, and are so glad we went, but I will be waiting a few years for their construction to be complete before...
