Really donāt like leaving negative reviews, but finding plastic in food or drinks is a big no for me. I ordered three drinks, and all of them were contaminated ā two of my family members even swallowed small bits of plastic. It was both disappointing and quite scary. The service was also slower than usual compared to other Boost stores. On the positive side, the staff did remake the drinks, which I appreciated, but honestly, I would have preferred a refund given the situation.
Update: Thanks for responding. I completely understand this situation is concerning for you ā it was also quite upsetting for us at the time. I just wanted to share our genuine experience so you were aware of it.
For more context: on the very first sip of my drink, I noticed two small, hard bits of matter. At first, I assumed they were ice, but when they didnāt melt in my mouth, I spat them out and saw what looked like clear plastic fragments about 0.5 to 1 mm in size. My family members also mentioned feeling small hard bits in their drinks, which they initially thought were ice and swallowed. Additionally, for my drink, I did show the staff the two small pieces I found from my first sip and didnāt think to show what my other family members had.
Given all three drinks were blended together (same flavour), it seemed possible that whatever caused it affected all of them. I can understand that your staff may not have seen anything when checking later ā the pieces were tiny, clear, and blended in, so they would have been very easy to miss. From your response, it sounds like youāve taken the concern seriously, and I appreciate that. Iām also genuinely curious what those bits might have been and how this could have happened.
My intention wasnāt to harm your business, only to describe what happened from my point of view so the issue could be looked into. I appreciate that youāre open to reviewing the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited Sunday 19th around 8am, I was walking up to the shop as the worker a young blonde girl was walking away to which she saw me walking towards the shop. She had put a āBe back in 5ā sign up. I was there waiting for 10 minutes. She then came back moved the sign that was in front of me- hadnāt acknowledged me then goes behind the counter & still doesnāt acknowledge me. She then goes to start making a smoothie, as sheās doing this she looks up at me and just stares at me for a good while then looks back at the drink sheās making then looks back at me again to stare at me again looking me up and down giving me a dirty look so I give her a look of frustration & sheās like are these yours? I responded saying āNo.ā - clearly I havenāt placed an order Iām standing right at the counterā¦. Then she comes over to serve me doesnāt apologise or smile once. Extremely rude...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePretty underwhelming. Tried the coffee dream thing and considered taking the 2 sip guarantee if "you don't love it" but they took so long to make it (even though there were no other visible customers*). The girl who served me was very clever to seem so disinterested in my existence that taking the guarantee just seemed like more work than it was worth.
Most places can use your mobile number to look up your membership but not Boost and I didn't have it saved in my new phone. One more reason not to bother with the overpriced, over large Boost drink selection.
*Not suggesting Harry Potter could have been there but someone could have ordered than walked away or ordered online... I mean it could have been Daniel Radcliffe but that...
