Lake Eden is a gorgeous place to be with nature in the heart of a bustling North Lakes.
There's a beautiful, relaxing walk track around the lake. There's Plenty of space for walkers/cyclists, grass for kids/outdoor games and there are playgrounds sporadically placed throughout.
It says not to feed the wildlife but people seem to disregard that rule. If people are going to feed the wildlife of the lake anyway, I suggest the council add information on what types of seeds/vegetables/grains people can feed them instead of bread -- which is not good for them.
I read that they are adding exercise equipment to the circuit. That will be a great addition for those who cannot afford a gym or simply prefer to work...

At around 2 thirds shaded, it allows you to get a little sun but offers relief on steamy hot Brisbane days. It features relaxing man made but eco friendly land & water features that hold a variety of birds (ducks, swans, pelicans etc) & reptiles (dragons, monitors, turtles & the occasional harmless tree snake). Good amenities & parking for dogs & walkers alike. It's been great for out 12 yro Boarder Collie to get out of the house & meet other dogs having a safe & relaxing walk. Read moreThe wild and the built describes Lake Eden perfectly. The paths and walkways are well set out and maintained. The plantings shelter and protect wildlife while discouraging people to go too close to the water. The other day we saw a magnificent water dragon sunning himself. Life on the lake is busy. Seeing tortoises pop their heads up unexpectedly is fun. There are spaces to stop and let the minutes float by. I met a Kiwi Weaver sitting in the sun, creating. She was inspirational.
