Recently visited again and really enjoyed the Tofu curry and Takoyaki.

Original Review 4 stars: Overall good food, large portions and a pleasant experience for a decent price. No complaints about service. Very clean interior. Some minor issues with the food (see below)

I got a tomahawk katsu and it was the best item we ordered. Very moist in the centre but nice and crunchy on the outside. It came with tasty salt, wasabi and sesame for dipping.

Also ordered were a salmon and aburri salmon don. The salmon wasn't the best quality or cut but it was definitely acceptable. Pretty large quantities of fish. The rice in both desperately needs a bit of sushi seasoning. It seemed like it was just straight plain rice. Not something I'm used to having had the same dish many times before at different restaurants.

All three came with miso soup which was a bit gritty. Definitely something they can work on.

Also ordered a side of karage chicken. I ate a piece as soon as it hit our table and it was quite soggy. Really need to dry up the...

Went here with a large group (12 people). When ordering, we were told that our tables would be split into groups of 4, but when it came time to pay, the restaurant refused to split the bill and insisted on one single bill. This made payment a nightmare, as the screen only displayed collective totals (e.g. 3x Tomahawk $108, 4x Salmon Sashimi $144, 6x Coke $24 etc). Every person had to manually calculate their own portion from the grouped totals. Completely disorganised and frustrating.

The table layout is ridiculous. Staff were clumsily placing oversized trays in front of guests, passing them over people’s heads, or expecting diners to pass huge trays across the table. It felt chaotic and unprofessional.

Additionally, the food is overpriced and average at best. $36 for what is essentially a chopped-up schnitzel with cabbage? Definitely not worth it.

Overall: disorganised service, poor setup, and not good value for money. I would not recommend it,...

I recently dined at KatsuCo and had a wonderful experience. We ordered the Chicken Katsu set, Japanese Potato Salad, and Udon Noodles, and everything was delicious. The Chicken Katsu was crispy and tender, served with fresh cabbage and a tangy sauce. The Udon Noodles were comforting with a flavorful broth. The Japanese Potato Salad was creamy and well-seasoned.

The rice was exceptionally good—perfectly cooked, soft, and fluffy. The authenticity of the experience was remarkable, with dishes presented as they would be in Japan.

The customer service was excellent. The staff were attentive and friendly, ensuring a smooth dining experience. The restaurant’s ambiance was cozy and inviting, enhancing the overall experience.

While the meal was quite expensive, the quality and authenticity made it worth the price. I would definitely come back for another visit.

Highly recommend for those looking to enjoy genuine...

If you like crunchy Japanese katsu, this is the place for you. Presented in an authentic way, with the right set of miso soup, rice, cabbage and condiments, their katsu are excellent. It is possible to choose between pork, chicken, cheese, tofu, and shrimps. I personally go for the chicken, or the pork tomahawk when I'm quite hungry. The tomahawk also comes with truffle oil, which compliments the taste greatly. Their curry is very good too, and would be even better if they managed to add a bit more sauce and to keep the katsu on the rice side, to preserve the crunchiness. The place is simple and the service is always quick and courteous. I have found people lined up in some occasions, but generally it's easy to find a place. Finally, considered the quality and quantity of the food, their prices seem quite reasonably priced. Shame they can't offer beer, or a Japanese dessert option.
