Zambrero North Lakes — Restaurant in Greater Brisbane

Very disappointed with new management. Numerous times dealing with a very blunt, bratty-like attitude and doesn't like to do anything too "difficult".

I recently have gone through alot of hell and came in for a treat (yey treat.. because by the time you make mine onion free, dairy and gluten free because I cannot have them due to allergies..it's about 3 times the cost of every other menu item but I pay it anyway). I was excited because I hadn't been for a little bit. I immediately recognised the rude manager Ive deal with previously and thought hopefully today will be better. Unfortunately not. I was cut off maybe 4-5 times whilst trying to more or less stutter my order to the lady who fastly assumed it was just to be thrown in the "too hard basket" and couldn't be bothered allowing me to continue explaining my order and barking at me to just order a bowl. By this time I was starting to just get anxious and overwhelmed and SHE was actually starting to hold things up because she couldn't be quiet for me to just spit a word out. Not a smile either even before we began..just a "I hate you and my job and everyone in between face". So I actually ended up saying you know what..don't worry and ordered NOTHING. Would of ended up being $50 sale but unfortunately customer service died along time ago and people can't even be bothered pretending with a fake hospitality smile anymore.

The staff basically ruin it and I no longer can be bothered going, nor can my mother, partner and all of us that used to go and my dad works in major inner city company who sponsor places like that lol so unfortunately sometimes you just ruin your reputation by spread of word of mouth within the...

Food is great! Customer service not so much. Long term customer, have never found staff overly friendly but do their jobs until tonight when my children and I were getting our usual ice cream sandwich after our meal and the two girls fussed over one meal and chose to ignore us when we were asking for help to get an ice cream flavour that was in the bottom of the fridge. One of the girls originally said they were out of the favour until I mentioned I spotted some under the basket which she ignored (would've taken 30 seconds max to open to box and empty it into the basket).mentioned to the other girl as I was paying for the other ice creams which she just flat out ignored. Compared to other Mexican chain stores in the area Zambrero does not compete with them on value. I chose to have the medium bowl and I got this little scoop of minced mince compared with going to GYG and getting a decent serving of identifiable meat.

I worked out that to get an equivalent GYG meal at zambrero that would cost me about $7-10 more than GYG if you opted for their corn chips and large only drinks.

I hadn't tried zambrero for a while. But based on how their meals are structured now, I'm not going to be back. Even my teenage kids felt it was a rip off for what they got and didn't feel satisfied afterwards.
