BEWARE: Middle age couple w/ 2 kids that own a red/tan staffy mix. Our dog (small papillon) was maliciously attacked by their dog and so was I after trying to rescue mine. The owners casually walked over, no apology, no concern whatsoever other than them say “She’s never done this before. Idk why she did”. They refused to give me any information on them as they claimed I was disrespectful and a horrible human-being for yelling at them to get ahold of their dog and to “bugger” off as they weren’t trying to offer any help to us. MY DOG IS IN THE ICU NOW IN CRITICAL CONDITION! 6 puncture wounds, lungs that are bruised and causing issues breathing and potential neck harm. They continued to refuse to give me information and of course as a parent I was belittling them for that yet I’m the terrible person. You terrible people walked away, no apology, only saying I’m in the wrong because I screamed at you, cursed at you and got into a heated argument with the husband because they walked off with no information or even a “I’m sorry”. A police report was luckily filed after multiple attempts to get police out there and council has now been contacted. We will be seeking recovery of all VET medical bills.

Very popular dog beach for dog lovers and picnikers. No leaches are needed unless you can't control your dog. Ots not unususl to see owners swimming with their pets on this beach. There are shady trees on the sand as well as off. You just need to be there early to get one on a weekend in Summer.

We absolutely love taking our doggy Poppy to the beach when we can. 40min drive from where we live but we'll worth it. Always a clean beach. What a great experience to see so many doggs free and happy and their owner ofcourse 😊 Thank you Council for this amazing opportunity. 🥰

Usually well frequented especially of a weekend. Most of the dogs are well socialised in my experience - likely related to the lack of fencing. Gladly the beach is essentially on a peninsula/separated by water on two sides, and traffic is generally slow and respectful (only YOU can prevent wildfires =] ) so you have a fair chance of catching any runaways... Generally though the water and magnetism if the other dogs has been enough to keep even some of my more miscreant pups at bay, pun intended. There are lots of barbeque facilities, shade, seating and general use beaches as well. Highly recommended if you have younger kids - any of the beaches protected by K'gari or Minjerribah are generally quite calm (a little further south of here, and north up to Redcliffe and beyond). Though I would advise checking the weather and surf conditions as strong winds can cause it to be quite choppy. It's generally better to go to these beaches on a receding high tide as water quality is generally best. Plenty of parking.

Make sure you check out Skippy's Fresh Fruit (they have a fresh squeezed OJ machine, but I usually grab a few coconuts and mangos - they're rated 4.8 presently). I also checked out Trent Pham Bakery on Finucane rd. The staff were very friendly and I got the last roll of the day. To be honest I was more focused on driving after being in the sun all day. All I remember is that I enjoyed it and it tasted fresh despite being the end of the day. Their reviews over the last three years are pretty mediocre - it seems a new owner has taken over. Previously they were ALL five star (see for yourself). Others recommend Love Kitchoo, Oven King (Vic Pt), and Little French Bakery (I didn't confirm if they had Banh Mi). Oven King currently has a similar rating to Trent Pham. Redland Bay Bakery and Le Spring Rolls are the highest rates I...

This is a good place however, some dog owners believe that of leash means they have a right to ignore poor behavior of their animals which are poorly trained, and try to justify poor behavior by citing it is an of leash facility, that maybe so but if they ignore poor behavior they risk losing the area for all. If you allow your dog to harass others and then cry foul when others chastise your animal because you don't have the intelligence to do so, then incidents will happen and your dog maybe on the news and the rights for all maybe removed. The people I am talking about know who they are, most dog owners respect others but there are those entitled millennial's who enjoy looking to justify their bad manners and poor behavior clearly they have not been taught manners at home or in the street which at one time would have been dished...
