The water and ocean have always held a special place in my heart, a sanctuary where I can find solace and rejuvenation. Today was no exception as I found myself immersed in the tranquil beauty of the beach. Picture yourself, with the entire shoreline to yourself, basking in the serenity of the gently lapping waves, the occasional bird gracefully soaring overhead, and the whispers of the wind rustling through the trees. As you gaze upward, you witness the clouds leisurely drifting by, the sun shyly peering out before making its grand entrance, casting a shimmering light upon the softly undulating waters. Even the moon has made an early appearance, appearing amidst the vast expanse of the blue sky that stretches infinitely.
In this moment, time seems to stand still as you are accompanied by your favorite soothing melodies. Welcome to the enchanting Raby Bay waterfront, a place where tranquility and beauty converge.
On a practical note, there are amenities available for your convenience. Restrooms are provided for both males and females, and the location is wheelchair-friendly. You'll find water bottle refill stations, as well as barbecue facilities and seating areas. Adequate provisions for waste management, including rubbish and recycling bins, ensure a clean and pristine environment. The spacious layout allows ample room for families to engage in various activities, whether it be a lively game of cricket or football, tossing a frisbee for your furry companions, or simply unwinding with a delightful picnic basket. Parking is plentiful, and shaded areas offer respite from the sun's rays.
I highly recommend the Raby Bay waterfront for families, couples, children, and solo visitors alike. It is a haven where unforgettable memories can be made and...
Read moreIt was a beautiful walk along a pathway that meanders along the foreshore. There are BBQs and a public toilet. The grass was well mown and the trees are young but very nice. There's a lovely beach... but signs warn of stone fish in the shallows so I didn't want to go paddling. Council has placed the bbq and picnic table in a great scenic spot but while sitting at the table the view of the water was interrupted by the putt placement of a huge garbage bin. It could have been placed anywhere else around the shelter but they chose the water side. Strange town planning. Also, the bbq was filthy but we were there at 11.30am on a weekday so maybe it wasn't time for the cleaning crew to go through yet. I took this photo on 0.7 (fisheye lens) to fit the full view of the bin and bbq so, in real life, the bin is way more imposing...
Read moreStunning ocean lookout for anyone to appreciate. Whether you are a regular or just the odd passer-by, this destination will grab your fancy. With beautiful grass and spectacular view, a simple picnic can turn into quite the occasion. There are not many benches nor playgrounds for the kids, making this spot appeal more to people looking for a slow time. Make sure to wear sunglasses if you want to see the last glimmer of sunshine as the sun fades out to a new day. Lovely ocean vibes as the locals are usually seen playing volleyball or having a casual wholesome sit-down while listening to tunes. This spot is really the ultimate...
