I've been coming here for decades, has progressively improved over the years So the area is quite nice and the springs are easily accessible. I rated it 4 stars as there is one downside, maybe there needs to be a few signs as some visitors seem to think that the picnic tables are their own property to hijack with their raucous multitudinous family members and set up a spit roast!? Also, do we have to tell people to not be selfish?, as some people think that crates of bottles being filled like you are in a bottling plant is a reasonable thing to do!? Really it's just Rude and selfish. The day was not as peaceful as it has been. Perhaps the quieter times are during the week.
Update: May 2023 there is one glaring problem, what's with the broken and damaged central area of the water dispensing area? This has been in a state of disrepair for at least a year now! Get it fixed! This is a hazard and an eyesore and makes half if the taps unavailable for...
Read moreAwesome place to visit and get free soda water straight from the ground. I read previous reviews that you can get soda mineral water from the ground and didn't believe it until I experienced it myself. It tastes better than soda water bought from shops and the spring closest to Hepburn bathhouse is the most fissest soda water. It comes out of super fast running taps. However this soda water becomes a muddy discolored consistency after about a week in a 15 litre container from experience. If you prefer longer lasting water but less fissy, then try the other manual pumping water stations further up toward...
Read moreA lovely and scenic place! Well appointed with a playground, BBQ area, public toilets and plenty of mineral springs with effervescent water! To be honest, a lot of the mineral springs tasted a bit gross to me (a slightly sulphurous, rotten egg vibe). Nevertheless, it is a great experience to try each tap and compare the differences! The paths are well maintained, however, when we took the walk to Argyle Spring, they definitely became more rocky and less accessible (we also saw a snake near this part of track). Yet, the views are scenic and it is lovely to immerse oneself in nature. Overall would...
