Absolute disrespect
A friend and I were there on New Year’s Eve and we had bought two $50 tickets as general admission. We didn’t realise that general admission means no chairs or tables so we were expected to stand around and wait for everyone to finish eating their meals before the show started. What really bothered me was the disrespect shown by head waiter Richard. He was absolutely horrid. Talked down to my friend and I like we were little children asking why the sky was blue. We were trying to see if we could get a refund but instead of kindly pointing out that we had to go through the ticket company to get a refund we were showered in spot while he snapped at us with the attitude of a toddler who didn’t want to share his toys. It absolutely put a damper on the night so we left.
The show might’ve been good but with general admissions tickets you’re ushered into a back room where you can’t even see the stage. (This is the reason we actually wanted a refund- sure it may have been our mistake but what is getting the 1 star was the verbal abuse by the...
Read moreMy husband and I ate at the Palais Hepburn and we absolutely loved the whole experience. The ambiance of the place was so lovely. The food was absolutely delicious, my vegan meal was so good and to have a vegan menu is just wonderful. Apart from a spectacular meal and the amazing ambience, the best part of the night are the staff that work for the Palais Hepburn. These wonderful men and woman couldn't do enough for the patrons. They were so helpful answering many questions from my husband and I about the food. They kept coming too our table, topping up our water, I was blown away by the staff. Management should be so happy and proud of the wait staff and I was so impressed by them. Thank you Palais, my husband and I enjoyed our 40th wedding anniversary at your...
Read moreWe came here as a group for NYE 2022 and had the best night. Sadly the next time we decided to go (since we had such a good night the first time), it was not the same standard. The performers were really talented but the male owner was a total jerk to all of us on multiple occasions and put a big dampener on the experience. At one point he actually knocked one of us in the face when clearing the table and then told her she was ‘a bit precious’ for being taken aback by it. Never apologised once. On another occasion we asked to see the food menu and he just walked off and then came back and threw the menus on the table and kept going. Not quite the experience...
