Although generally a mediocre experience, certain parts of this maze were offensive in the fact they spread easily preventable misinformation to young impressionable minds. My issues come from the hedge maze number-the-animals "puzzle". Throughout the maze you find species of animals and must number them on your paper, innocent enough right? Wrong! Multiple bird species aren't even given a species! Example: sea eagle, penguins, fairy wren and swimming swan. Each of these do not acknowledge the specific species of the bird when multiple species fall under these titles! This wouldn't be that bad on its own but it doesn't end there. The most egregious example is "Frogmouth owl". Frogmouth...Owl?... Tawny frogmouths are not owls! This is blatant misinformation! How could you make such a foolish mistake? Tawny frogmouths don't even look like owls, teaching kids this is shameful and you should consider changing how its labled. I have annotated my sheet below if you wish to look but its just everything I listed above. Such a shame this maze had to be soiled by this. Thank you for reading.

Amaze cafe truly lives upto its name.We went there with a baby, and the staff was very welcoming, even offering to warm up the milk bottle for us. The cafe is exceptionally child-friendly, providing coloring sheets, pencils, and games—something you rarely find in other cafes. Seating: The seating arrangement is well-planned, with both indoor and outdoor options. It operates on a semi-self-service model, with a water station indoors for guests to help themselves and cutlery neatly placed in a corner. Food: While the food was decent, I found it a bit average for the price. They do offer vegetarian options. The cafe also features clean and well-maintained restrooms, along with a gift shop. Set in a spacious area with beautiful views, it offers a unique and refreshing experience.

Amazing food at the cafe!! Best meal in our entire trip! It was so good we drove back another day from Hobart just to eat here. The steak sandwich is the best we have ever had: the steak was juicy, tasty and tender, cooked medium rare - just perfect! It came with nice fresh bread and dressing. The accompanying chips were fantastic too- fresh and crispy. The poke bowl on the specials menu was great, never had such good quinoa - it was flavoured with some kind of stock, so tasty! The French toast was also good with nice caramelised banana and mascarpone cheese. Great spacious seating, indoor and outdoors. Nice activities for the kids and adults too, eg. Quoits and corn hole throw game on the lawn. Staff were lovely. Highly recommended.

An absolutely disgusting experience.

After a long day at zoodoo I arrived at amaze with my mum and my 8 year old daughter, I had booked us a table days prior but after telling the waitress this I was told they were unaware of my booking but to take a seat anywhere. Obviously some bad communication or book keeping had taken place. After walking into the restaurant and seeing two 8-10 people tables cover in the previous dinners dirty cup and plates with food on them the seats and floor then another 4 person table and another 2 two person tables all covered in dirty dishes and food we sat at one of the only two tables that were free and not completely filthy. Being as holiday I originally passed this off as most likely a lunch rush that was just about to be cleared up and didn’t think too much of it. I ordered 2x what was essentially eggs and bacon and an order of French toast for my daughter. And then say waiting in the dining room full of filthy tables, plates and cups for 20 mins watching waitresses walking passed not once cleaning up a single thing and constantly bring out food to the wrong people. 20 mins in they brought out two iced coffees that were nothing but milk and water and what small amount of coffee was in them hadn’t been mixed through at all as the waitress sat it down she said just give them them a quick stir and walked away…. All I could think was Yea ok I’ll do you job for you not a problem… my daughters milkshake was the same if not worse. Another 20 minutes went passed Then the table that come in 15 mins after us and ordered was given their food at this point I asked what was going on and was told in a very rude way it was being dished up right now. It definitely wasn’t as after another 10 mins had passed I again asked what was going on and could see that they had very clearly only just started cooking the bacon moments before I walked up.. i got an even more rude and smart comment back, at this point I was quite upset and so was my mum who has run restaurants in Hobart for over a decade and had never seen such poor management, customer service or such disrespectful attitudes towards customers who simply wanted their food, not to mention the disgusting state of the dinning room from the moment we walked in until the moment we walked out it had 6 tables all covered in food / drinks that had been sitting in 25 degree heat for nearly an hour. And we’re being to smell. It really made her wonder if that is how they are happy to leave areas the public can see just imagine the state the areas we couldn’t see must be left in.. At this point my 8 year old daughter was very very hungry and my mother being a chef herself had extremely serious health safety concerns so I told them we were leaving and I wanted a refund. Again I got nothing but attitude from the young waitress that had been extremely rude then entire time. The manager came over to process my refund and she did mention the wait was not acceptable and actually seemed quite shocked when I mentioned the absolutely disgusting state of the dinning area but did not direct anyone to immediately address it something I find very shocking and concerning considering it still somehow had people in it waiting for food. after all of this they didn’t refund the horrible drinks but did refund the food we never received. And honestly I do not remember if they bothered to apologise so that says a lot really. I’m not saying they didn’t but I just do not recall them actually saying it so if they did it I clearly felt didn’t mean much at the time. honestly as a Tasmanian I’m appalled by this experience and the idea it’s what awaits tourists. While all of this was happening another man with his family and young child was also clearly not happy with the service and left obviously with a bad taste in their mouth. I hope this experience doesn’t tante the way they feel about this beautiful rural town.

I will never return here and will tell everybody I know or asks to do the same. It was an absolutely disgusting experience in very...

The service is either very inexperienced or down right terrible depending on the reason, the menu variety a little lacking and the value for money of the food is poor. We arrived and were directed to a messy table. Sugar had been spilled by the previous diners along with the empty sugar packets left on the table. After about 10 minutes the waitress realised there weren't any menu's on the table and apologetically provided same. We ordered coffee and a toastie to share. Whilst waiting for the order to arrive we asked several times if we had been served! The $15 toastie arrived and presented as 2 small pieces of bread with a tiny piece of ham and some cheese melted. No salad or chips etc as might be expected for that price. The worst value toastie ever! By way of comparison the McCafe equivalent is better quality and half the price! The coffee eventually arrived about 5 minutes after the toastie. When it came time to pay, the staff did not know whose responsibility it was to take the payment. Once that was sorted the staff member could not locate my order! It is a shame really as the industrial /warehouse presention of the facility both inside and out is quite pleasing. it is what caught my eye on the drive by. There is potential for a decent cafe/restaurant in this facility , however right now there are far better options...
