I had a crayfish mornay pie. It’s good. Maybe 4 bits of crayfish inside. I’ll try the scallop pie next time. The price is a bit higher than usual but acceptable.

Ordered fish and chips takeaway, it was nice crispy and hot. Quite a large portion of fries. It was very quiet and had many seatings available.

Had a wonderful coffee and cheese tart. Owner and staff members also good. If you are around there you should try their coffee. Thanks.

Went in to get just a small chips with PLAIN salt (since he is autistic and will not eat chicken salt). The teenage girl at the counter was very rude and had a horrible attitude. Two people behind us (who ordered the exact same thing!) were served before us and had their order actually called out by the girl, but when ours was ready she practically slammed them into the counter and just gave us a rude stare. Of course, the chips had chicken salt instead of plain and we had to buy a whole new pack of chips just to get one simple request. When waiting for the chips, we were constantly being side eyed and given dirty looks from the girl (who we don’t know at all?), even when leaving. Horrible service...

It's a great cafe with your traditional takeaways, fridge of cakes and quiches and salad rolls etc., and the BEST PIZZA on Friday and Saturday nights till 2030. You can also get a great cup of OOMPH COFFEE. There is also a gift shop attached with Tasmanian wares for sale. It's called ICONIC TASMANIA. I judge it solely as a fast food takeaway and give it 5 stars because it is far better than in purports to be. When tour busses pull in it does get a little busy. I do have to tell you that I live local and coffee and eat there regularly so factor that into your decision to eat there. I also like the new owners Barry and Jeff and they are making great...

The cooked food is ok, but the prices are outrageous (especially for drinks, ice cream, snacks.etc)

And the fact that prices are not displayed for many items shows that the staff know people will be scared off by it

When asking about ice cream prices, I was handed a card with the prices on it (the same type of card that should be in the fridge window instead of behind the counter) and the lady there had a very condescending attitude, almost like she was offended that I wanted to know how much i needed to pay before choosing

You're better off going to the servo next door for drinks and snacks, it's a bit cheaper, and prices are...
