Extremely rude and unprofessional experience with venue manager Greg. Local bands, be aware of the agreement terms before committing to a show here.
We were given one set of conditions and then Greg attempted to change the agreement last-minute, imposing a strict ticket quota with very little notice. When we explained that this was unfair to us and our support acts, his response was hostile rather than collaborative.
As a band that covers our own promotion and costs, we’re used to working hard to bring people through the doors. But professionalism and respect matter and unfortunately, that was missing here.
Milk Bar has potential as a venue, but until management improves its approach to working with local acts, we’d advise bands to proceed...
