Was given 2 vouchers as gifts Xmas 2022, this was my second attempt at using them. Myer had zero stock of everything I intended to buy (sale items and full priced), some items still not restocked since Xmas. Staff said to order what I wanted online - useless advice for a Karrinyup centre gift card holder. David Jones didn’t open. Scents was enquiries only/leave your details and they will see if they can source fragrances (no stocks on hand)…but they never ever get back to you in my experience. Mecca had extremely low stock available and minimal cosmetic range - staff told me their stores don’t really keep cosmetics in stock anymore, apparently they have no room in their now vastly empty shop that appears to focus mostly on makeup application services. Maybe if they got rid of a few mirrors they could stock more than 2 shades of eyeshadows. There are only 1 or 2 dedicated small Mecca cosmetic stores in the entire of Perth now as I was told by staff. I was told to visit cosmetica in Subiaco instead for a full range of cosmetics or to ‘simply’ order online, both of which suggestions are again completely useless when you have a Karrinyup gift card. Fancy that, a massive refurbished centre like Karrinyup and you don’t have stores that carry a full range of products. Wow! Several other smaller shops browsed in to no avail, extremely limited sizings or stocks on hand, all staff suggested to go online and order!! Absolutely hopeless. This centre used to be my local and I frequented here often, now I rarely come here because there’s never anything available and it’s a nightmare with parking. Contacted centre management with my feedback and was told I have 3 years to use vouchers and Management prides itself on the extensive array of designer stores on site, like this is supposed to lessen the extreme customer frustration…if your stores have limited or zero stocks on hand and every single staff member interacted with, tells the customer to go online to make purchases instead then no, there’s no pride in your centre at all because your centre therefore has nothing to offer it’s customers. I frequent Joondalup shopping centre now as I can always find what I need here and never have issues with parking or stock unavailability, there is also a far larger variety of middle class stores available to browse alongside those higher end stores. I will be telling friends and family not to bother with Karrinyup vouchers anymore as they aren’t worth the plastic they are printed on, waste of money as can’t be used when needed and the customer service level is poor. You cannot blame covid anymore. It’s worth travelling a little further away for more relaxing and satisfying shopping...
Read moreThe shops were great, clean and wide range of quality, price and stock. Unfortunately, there was a power out relating to the new renovations. The staff were good at telling us what to do and informing us what’s going on as this was not the first time this had happened. Although this is more a problem with the renovation workers I thought it might be a good idea to address this for anybody who wants to go soon, just warning you that the power could go out and only the big shops like Woolworths, David Jones and Big W are open. However this place is usually amazing!! Edit: The new renovations are amazing! Although there is still more to come, they now have so many more shops, like Dangerfield and other clothing stores, a bigger news agency, areas to sit down and relax, toys for little children, more food options and lots more! I totally recommend, but I would suggest being careful with young children as it is very easy to get lost. I would also like to mention, lots of the issues mentioned in previous reviews for this shopping centre have been solved by the new renovations, e.g. there are more places to sit, wider corridors and food seating areas don’t take up as much space, so if you didn’t like Karrinyup Shopping Centre in the past, you might...
