Kyneton Museum is a must visit if you are in Kyneton, housed in a heritage listed old Bank of NSW bluestone building built in 1856. There are various exhibits about Kyneton’s history, gold rush and it’s people. Don’t forget to check out the outdoor carriages, agricultural equipment as well. It was used as a residence as well from 1920’s before the shire bought it and used it for the museum.

A very informative museum! Had many displays and exhibitions about the daily family life back during the gold rush era for those who are interested. Entry fee was $5 for adults and $3 for concession. Located right on Piper St so we didn't have to go somewhere far, very cozy once you are inside. Highly recommend for a family outing

I was born and bred in Kyneton and only just went here a year or 2 ago. It becomes part of the furniture, but it's well worth the visit. Its good how it's actually interactive and you can walk into the rooms and touch the carriages, unlike most of today's museums where it's all look but dont touch, which is a bit boring. Definitely would go again and I loved it. Small donation entry fee and you are...
