What an eclectic restaurant. The atmosphere has you looking around and admiring every nook and cranny. The ambiance is also nice to soak in. The staff were very helpful and very accommodating. The kitchen cook openly and their etiquette with communication between other staff was great to see. The food was simply amazing, delicious with every dip and every bite. Mild in spice and was manageable, and strong if you desire. The butter chicken turned me into a cave man, just dived in with fingers due to its delicious sauce, to top off the night the desert was top tier. If you join the dumpling and the ice cream together it increases that tenfold. Perfect for a date night, not so much kid friendly (kids are welcome and they do amazing deals for kids, but I couldn't see young kids happy sitting in one spot, basically no play area for them) but perfect to wine and dine. The added advantage of share foods also sparks conversation between one another and in some cases makes you put down the phone and be human, that's and experience money can't buy. Enjoy your stay, and enjoy your meals, I thoroughly enjoyed it and I think you will too...

Very travelled from the UK to visit friends in Tylden. From start to finish the meal was fantastic. The decor, lighting, Bollywood films being projected on the back wall, the music were all excellent. We like to pride ourselves on our Indian food culture in the UK but I can quite clearly say this was some of the best food I’ve eaten. From the flavours to the presentation while being served via the head chef was a lovely touch. Little balls of happiness were a delight. It’s a shame am returning to the UK as this restaurant would be a firm favourite. I’ve never had IFC (Indian fried chicken) and it blew me away. Also the free dessert for the kid who joined us adults was a sweet gesture All the staff were amazing and worked incredibly hard with it being very busy and having one member of staff away. 5 Stars

What a mind blowing place it is!! I've never been to an Indian restaurant that takes you back in time with so many finer details that remind you of India. Cherry on the top, Mughal e Azam running on the projector, nostalgic! When it comes to food and presentation, you can notice amazing innovation in every item whether they are Gol gappes {Balls of Happiness they call : ) } or samosa plate or Indian Kulfi , Loved it!!! Staff was extremely warm, prompt and smiling. What a hidden gem, this place is. Whole family had a great time!

Tucked away in the beautiful suburb of Kyneton, this little gem of an Indian restaurant stole our hearts (and taste buds) from the moment we walked in. It’s quaint, cosy, and full of charm- the kind of place where you instantly feel at home.

We started with the Colonel TSO Cauliflower and Indian Fried Chicken- both absolutely addictive with the perfect balance of spice and crunch. For mains, we ordered Butter Chicken, Daal Makhni, and Malai Kofta paired with butter and garlic naan, and every bite was pure bliss. Dessert was the perfect sweet ending kulfi and warm, syrupy gulab jamun that we’re still dreaming about.

Service was truly top-notch. Chef Ajaypal came out to check on us and his passion for food shines through in every dish. Our server, Dina, was an absolute delight, friendly, attentive, and 5-star all the way.

If you’re looking for authentic Indian flavours served with genuine hospitality in a beautiful countryside setting, Dhaba is...

Don't often review but boy oh boy...

For life long health reasons I have the vegan options though lean into vegetarian from time to time.

Went with my sister who lives here in town.

We'd had Indian two nights ago here also in Kyneton at the other indian restaurant so something very recent to compare to.

My mother was a cook and I grew up in ashrams, Buddhist temples and have travelled the world eating curries.

My daughter is a chef.

Papadams w the works Colonel Tso's Cauliflower Garlic Parantha Butternut Squash Curry Rice

My sister also had a butter chicken which I had the sauce from.

All exquisitely flavoured. Absolutely could not fault any dish and that's rare for me.

The cauliflower was just incredible. Perfect little spice for me.

Two bottles of capri sparkling water.

The atmosphere, the staff, I...
