Valentine's Antique Gallery — Attraction in Loddon Mallee

Large assortment of quality antiques, our initial impression was favorable. It's a little pricey but in a tourist area so expected. What we have experienced in after service from a purchase we made left a bad taste. We purchased a barometer which has mercury and a specific set of requirements set up for transport. The barometer was also missing an adjustment knob. We spoke to the owner who had come in and he visits Melbourne every Monday with deliveries and he offered to deliver with the missing part installed. We arranged a Monday a few weeks away from that date which he said would be plenty of time for him to locate the part install it and take care of some repairs (part of the barometer fell off when taken down from display) Excited we waited and my wife took the entire day off to be flexible to his schedule of deliveries. The whole day passed with not even a phone call. I reached out later in the week and was told the Barometer was at the shop. We had to drive back up to Bendigo just to pick up and were answered by shrugs when we asked and apparently the owner was on holiday for 2 weeks. Could have spent hours in here. The staff were fantastic, really friendly. I had a photo of an old chaise lounge I was offered $50 to “ help me out” by an upholsters and given the price of $5,500 to fix. The lovely couple were interested to chat about the advice and were able to tell me what year etc the chaise was as well as gave me an idea of what I should settle for. As I wandered the massive collection I could see and hear the husband and wife happily chatting with customers. No expectation to buy at all. They were so proud and happy with their service. OMG! If you're into antiques, you need to check this place out. Words simply cannot describe the experience.

Room after room of beautifully stunning pieces of history on display to tease and tantalize your senses. It simply goes on and on and on.

There are over twenty antique dealers represented there and the range is breathtaking. I've personally never seen any place like it, and I've been to a LOT of antique shops.

Think of the movie - Mr Mergoriums Wonderful Emporium, but with antiques instead of toys.
