Alphington Park — Attraction in Melbourne

Relatively large parkland embracing the Northcote Bowling Club, Cricket club whose facilities are shared with a soccer club. Heidelberg road end contains a very nice garden section and a good area of children's play equipment. Abultion block is on-site with facilities for disabled guests and all genders. Would be hard pressed to find another hidden gem like this park so close to suburban streets, yet so close to the Yarra River, bird life and tranquillity. The ABC Alphington Bowls Club is on the perimeter and the new apartments on the old Paper Mills site are shaping up. The Alphington Swimming Club met not far from the park.
