We have frequented Hoppa and Joe fairly often for 4 years now, across many changes of ownership and fresh coats of paint. The new look is bright and fresh, and makes a really nice atmosphere for a brekky date. The little touches - like this love heart hashbrown - are subtle but make it seem like we are really being taken care of. The only downfall on our recent trip was that it seems the gluten free bread supplier has changed. My husband is a coeliac, and we both thought the GF bread at Hoppa and Joe's was the best available in a cafe by far. Our recent order had a different bread that unfortunately tasted like the bland, solid cardboard we're used to elsewhere. We know that good GF bread can be expensive, but please consider another supplier, or at least toast the bread longer with a bit of butter to try and make it edible for those that don't have a choice.

5 stars all round. Customer service was warm and never missed a beat. They worked as a team so we had like 3 different people serving us. The creme brulee donuts where delectable. The caramelised agar in the top was so good! The breakfast gnocchi was a knock out. The beef cheeks were tender and full and yummy gelatinous flavour, not to mention the perfectly cooked poached eggs. Pan fried gnocchi. Yum! The cold brew was ok. I was probably do taken away by the other two that I couldn't taste how good it was! The Wagyu burger was described as overcooked, so you couldn't taste the Wagyu for its star characteristics. The patty was ground. (Not my dish) I loved it mine! Would love to return and taste more food! Parking was painful though. I had to park at the other end of the street. Residential parking.

Felt like mushrooms for brunch, and luckily Hoppa & Joe did not disappoint. Ordered the shiitake mushrooms and roasted pumpkin and both were absolutely delicious. Fresh, fast and happy to see 2 poached eggs on good sized toast as well. Couldn't be happier to see such generous portion sizes, which when combined with the delicious toppings made for an amazing breakfast. Both dishes we ordered were slightly on the oiler side though, however it only just added to the flavour! Only slight disappointment was my soy magic came split and curdled. Still tasted amazing though so happy with the end result. Would happily come back just for both the dishes again
