Great little market for local fresh produce. Nice variety of autumn veggies and friendly staff. Only thing was I was very disappointed with the âwash your own dishesâ set up. It was great to see that the community was encouraging less paper/plastic wastage with the food trucks but it was really unhygienic how there were just 3 buckets of still water to rinse, wash and rinse. If you want to promote an environmentally friendly market, please provide running water and dish washing detergent so everyone can do a proper job at cleaning their own dishes. The area is fairly small but there are plenty of options to shop for your groceries (vegetables, eggs, mushroom, meat, fish đ and more), bread and more. Open in Sundays, expect delays in getting in due to usually crowd before the opening time (9 ish). Parking is available opposite side of the road near the train station. It is very close to Darebin parklands and therefore it allows to marry both shopping for essentials and exercise....
   Read moreThis farmers market is transitioning from monthly to weekly. It has lost some of the 'school fete' feel it had when a monthly event. The last 2 events did not have children's activities, and buying a sausage in bread for the kids cost $5. The good thing is that it's really not difficult for the organisers to take this feedback and make changes.
