Only the takeaway window was open despite the restrictions saying they can be open. Which means that not all their staff are 💉💉 fully vaxed yet. The 1st time I went it took 30 mins to get a coffee from the takeaway window. Even the manager asked if we had been served cause he noticed us waiting a long time. *We got no compensation or even a free coffee or cookie to say sorry for the wait nothing to entice a return. The 2nd, 3rd & 4th time I tried going they were closed not even the takeaway window was open. I tried all different times of the day and days of the week but nothing.
Luckily the coffee shop around the corner near the park, the PavQueen, was open all those times. The PavQueen even though was running behind they added a few wee cookies to say sorry...
Read moreI'm grateful for the many good (and delicious) experiences I've enjoyed at Fossette's. They make one of my favourite chai lattes (brewed on soy) in Melbourne ... and I drink a lot of chai. ;-) I'm also a big fan of the 'haloumi surprise' (yummy yet healthy, and surprisingly more-ish). The decor is unique and the 50s style benches are fun to sit at.
I notice how hard working the staff are, and how much they want to do a good job by the customers. They were also very kind to me during the lockdown (I got regular deliveries), and I was glad they were my local.
I recommend them particularly to chai fans!

The Reuben was very below average, didn’t even taste like a Reuben. My partner said something didn’t taste right with it and so didn’t finish it.
