Came very early today with the whole family for boxing day. An hour drive to get to unihill. Bought over $500 worth of products got home after being in that mall for 7 hours and was exhausted. Nike was the first place we visited, receipt shows we paid at 08:44am. Checked our purchases When we got home and was shocked that they scanned an item that we paid for but was not in the bags. Missing item as they cancelled it as it was faulty but lady forgot to cancel the scanned item. Tried calling the number they have on the receipt. Over 23 attempts but to no avail. We decided to drive back there as they charged us $84. This was another hour to get there and another hour to go back home. Got there and kindly told them what happened and the hassle it have caused us, not to mention the waste of time and petrol. I asked for even a little bit of any compensation for this. Discount for future purchase or something as this was definitely a waste of our time having to come back to the store. But the manager just said that it’s because it was so busy because it was boxing day, these things happen. They had to check the camera and we waited another 15mins. This was today, 26/12/19 at 7:50pm. This manager was very insincere and inconsiderate to how this have been such a nuisance to us. Being busy is just an excuse and should not be a reason to function below par/standard. Very disgusted. Charging a customer for an item that was not in the bag. Makes me wonder how many times they make this mistake as the manager did not seem that concerned. If ever we shop from this store when its busy, i would expect they will make a mistake so i will be taking a video/photo of the cashier server me and will go through the recipe in front of them, I don’t care if i hold up the line longer if it saves us from driving back again and...
Read moreI'm not a power shopper, so YMMV. The parking spots in the structure were tightly arranged for a compact car. I would leave the ute at home or park outside.
I found this place annoying as it seems like a few factory shops, surrounded by a whole bunch of cheap storefronts with generic and branded merchandise; clearly not factory outlets. Most appeared to be just selling the same products you'd find on the brand's website at RRP/list prices or even a few bucks more. And a lot of real low end dollar store merchandise.
A notable exception this past weekend was the Nike store which had lines for their black friday sale stuff, and they're a factory outlet store for real. And I'm not some Nike shill here, just pointing out a noticeable Actual Factory Outlet Store that was doing well. The facility, I think, lets customers and actual factory outlet tenants down.
Adding to my woes, the building seems to block most mobile reception, which means we had to leave one of the shops, go to a spot with some coverage, get the product page for the item we were asking about, then come back to show the lady at the shop the items in her product line.
Might be frustrating for those looking for factory outlets as the number of generic low budget storefronts greatly exceeds factory stores. When taking the small parking spots and poor mobile coverage inside into consideration, you'll find yourself looking forward to getting out of there.
My favourite thing was the little electric ride-on plush animals for kids. Our kids are older but I think smaller kids would like them, a nice touch from when the place opened. Ending it on a...
