I am very sad to say, my Plenty Gorge Park, my right next door State forest, Facebook group are all real life gangsters and criminals. They suddenly blocked Me, an elderly person with PTSD and ALZEIMERS for no any reason, no explanation from their apparently precious Facebook group. Being with depression and PTSD and other mental issues, I was seeking some community support connection, so I joined my local Plenty Gorge Facebook Community. I never post anything for fear of being in sporltlight. I was surprised to being suddenly completely banned from the group. Is it a strictly elitist group hell bent on excluding any disabled people? I feel very hurt. The group is always sharing information about criminal activity around our area, with vast knowledge of Australian outlaws hiding in old Aboriginal rock caves around Plenty Gorge in 1960's. May be they use it for some extra curriculum activities now. Police should take notice. When I drive home at 3am I see a lot of cars with lights on around Morang South Primary School parking. It looks a little out of place at that time of the morning to say the least. Is it a drug dealing area? Pingrup school. Surely it should be weeded out. I guarantee I'll make sure I intimidate as much as I can all parked cars at 3am...

Me and halby got lost, one wrong turn took us on a harrowing journey into the depths of the wilderness. It spiralled out of control, wondering if we would ever see humanity again. The track was ferocious with death eating bull ants, kicking kangaroos, spine shooting echidnas, and bridges that seemed to be a mirage on google maps. I didn't know if we'd make it. I was so scared. But we did, we seeked refuge amongst other travelers, pushing us in the right direction we found the light (two and half hours later), we caught a didi back to our cars, may God have mercy on all souls who walk this death walk. We live to tell another tale. My legs hurt.

Regards

Margaret...

The park is more fun than you expect. It is a popular park for mountain biking and running, hiking as well. During the winter time, there are many kangaroos jumping and having parties like other visitors. The path in the park is also worth exploring, please wave to those riders having trouble crossing the rivers. The views of the blue lake are spectacular too. Amazing park, but really hard to get into if you access it through public transport. Supposedly, you can access through incana drive park through a small hole in the fence. Then just follow the pathway and cross the river to get to blue lake. It was a tough hike though even for just 15-20 minutes. Absolutely gorgeous lake though, it was shallow too so nice for kids. Also, saw a kangaroo there! Great short hike, would recommend!

Love this place so much! Ended up going off track and it made it a lot more special! Make sure you keep your maps on, on where you last parked so you can make your way back! Was extremely beautiful and I will definitely be back to go on different paths to see different things! Didn’t get to see any animals other than one kangaroo but still made it fun. Watch out for bikers as there will be shared paths.
