Absolutely terrible experience at Little Bean Cafe in Footscray. I specifically asked for oat milk because I’m lactose intolerant, and they gave me full cream milk. after saying they cater to people who do not drink full cream milk and have all there alternative milk options on display but clearly not using them. we needed up realising after driving off and were unable to go back and fix this since we had already driven off. On top of that, the matcha tasted nothing like matcha — it was weak, bland, and honestly undrinkable. If you’re going to offer specialty drinks, at least get the basics right. The staff attitude made it even worse.

They also claim to use ceremonial grade matcha, but that’s clearly not true. Anyone who drinks matcha regularly can tell this was cheap, poor quality powder. No richness, no flavour. just a pale green drink that tasted like milk and nothing else.

Also — $20 for two drinks? That’s an absolute joke for what was served. For that price, I expect decent quality and respectful service, not a stomach ache and a bad attitude. Never going back and wouldn’t recommend to anyone. Total waste of...

Everything was satisfactory during my visit, except for the service provided by the Vietnamese female staff with brown hair, which fell far below expectations. I couldn't help but notice her judging eye, as she served me without a greeting, a smile, or a thank you after my purchase. What added to my disappointment was witnessing her opposite attitude towards another Aussie customer. Despite intentionally supporting a local Vietnamese business, this experience has left me dissatisfied.
