Possibly the worst shopping experience to date. I was doubled charged for a click-&-collect order even after assurances from the front counter staff that I wouldn’t I originally lodged a click-&-collect order for an OLED television through the JB HI-FI online store. During the purchase, I authorized an online Pay Pal payment, as I was required to submit a payment before collecting my television at the store. When I arrived at the store for collection, a television department staff member strongly suggested that I change my order to home delivery instead, because my car was not suitable for transporting such a delicate screen panel. Fair enough, I trusted their advice on that. They issued me a new invoice, which included the cost of the television plus home delivery. When I presented the invoice to the front counter, I explained to them that I already made an online payment, but the transaction hadn’t been processed by my bank yet. They assured me that the online purchase wouldn’t be processed by my bank and I wouldn’t be double charged if I paid the new invoice with my debit card. Once again, I trusted their advice. The next day, I woke up to find that both the online order and in-store purchase were processed by my bank, and I got a lovely overdraft fee to boot. When I called back the store, the person over the phone told me that the refund can only be credited to the debit card I used for the instore purchase. On arriving at the store, all they did was cancel my online click-&-collect order. I could have done the same thing at home without having to waste my time and fuel driving to the store. My experience was very similar to the review left below. Made an order, paid in full and waited 4 weeks (no news) only to find out at the end that the order had been cancelled as the item was no longer available. We then came in and were told by the store manager that we could swap it out for a different item and waited around while he disappeared into the back room for 30 minutes with no explanation and then tried to make us pay the full price for the swapped item.
Finally made the swap and once again waited 3 weeks and heard nothing. When we followed it up ourselves, we were told "we don't know when we'll get anymore stock" and no update can be given. I checked another JB store and they said there was stock at various other stores. At this point, we were sick of being messed around and waiting over 2 months for an essential home item so we called to cancel the order. They told us to go to our local JB store (which we did) and were then told we needed to return it at the original store we got it from.
When we came to ask for a refund, they smirked and shrugged and offered no assistance or even asked why. Simply giving attitude and palming us off to someone else to deal with. They have 0 care for customers and not only were unhelpful but also rude and have bad attitudes. We will NOT be shopping here ever again or recommending this place to anyone. Read moreterrible experience and customer service in this JB, came to pick up online order, i didn’t have my driver license with me , but i have clear scan copy in my phone , and i have ready for pick text message as well as email confirmation for online purchase. Also my wife was able to do facetime to show my license. Plus, i can show them my credit card transaction that shows exact purchased amount paid to JB. After all, the supervisor (long hair guy) still asked me for physical ID, i asked him if you can tell it is fake or real ID or if the shop has any scanner can test it, the answer is no. then it doesn’t make sense. I said if you must see my physical ID, then I may consider to cancel online order. At that moment, i thought online order has to be cancelled by myself via JB website. But Immidiately he cancelled my order without my consent/confirmation, and told me it is cancelled and you can go! without even printing me a refund receipt! My question to JB is if you are so strictly demand to see physical ID even i can provide all info to prove the order is for me, how come the supervisor can cancel the order without checking physical ID ?? I can tell from his face he just wanted me to leave immidiately , not care my order.
