I shop here at least once a week. There are so many amazing Asian goodies - even a large vegetarian and vegan frozen section with all sorts of mock meats. The fresh produce in front is cheaper than supermarkets (plus there's more variety of Asian greens, which is a plus for me) and there's a discount bin with produce that's getting close to turning but is still good (great for jams, soups or feeding herbivorous pets). There's also a bunch of home wares including everything from rice and dumpling steamers to crock pots, and a lot of odds and ends like seeds, toys and aprons or slippers. It's clean and the staff are lovely and speak a few different languages. There is free, covered, unlimited underground parking for a couple dozen cars. It is usually fairly quiet but can get busy...

I stopped into this market to get a cold drink on the way home. I grabbed a single serve bottle of Ginger Beer out of the fridge. I went up to the register and when I was FINALLY served, he's like " it's only one, you pay cash" (the total was $2.50), I told him that I was paying with card and to my horror, his response was "you get 2" but then when I said that I only wanted one for today, he said "I charge you $5 then" and then when I questioned why, he started full on yelling and arguing with me.

Not all the staff speak English so if you can't find what you want it's hard to get help.
The inventory control seems like it's being run to emulate the past, thirty or forty years ago, it's s bit baffling as things will run out and then got be available for months. I figured they couldn't get them any more and then they'd be back. 🙄
I like that I can buy the fruit the two big supermarkets reject on aesthetic grounds, this helps the farmers who have to throw it away and I feel like I'm doing a little to help...
