Both my friend Kate and I thank everyone from Knox O-Zone Village - especially one particular employee I will mention in this 100% positive Google review - for making our latest cinema experience yesterday on 10/11/2024 so awesome in every way! We are both so grateful to all of you! And I'm so sorry for only post this Google review now but also for having to delete my previous Google review to make way for it...only one Google review per user.
Kate was spoiling me in every way yesterday to celebrate both our 3 year friendversary and my belated birthday including paying for our movie tickets - thank you so much to her for all that I'm so grateful - namely to yesterday's Knox O-Zone Village 3:30pm VJUNIOR session of Transformers One.
Before entering the VJUNIOR cinema for the aforementioned Transformers One session both Kate and I were greeted by two employees who scanned our tickets both were so nice and friendly so lots of gratitude and many thanks to both of them...especially the female employee wearing a very eye catching and stylish headband with mini glittery shining reindeer antlers, Kate complimented her on them - so sorry to her I should have complimented her before Kate did, I did do so after Kate did - and she thanked Kate cheerfully and grateful saying she made her day with the compliment because she likes getting into the spirit of Christmas (which isn't too far away) early with the antlers. So that particular employee who wore the antlers is especially deserving of acknowledgement and reward from Knox O-Zone Village and Village Cinemas!
Deepest compliments from both Kate and I on the VJUNIOR cinema (namely Cinema 3) we saw Transformers One yesterday...the very comfortable rows of leather seats with generous leg room and superior lighting and acoustics made for the most crystal clear sound and superior atmosphere, and the screen was large and provided top notch high definition images! And the 10 minute intermission between the first and second halves of Transformers One definitely is a life saver because even for movies that aren't that long because adults and children alike understandably made need to go to the toilet not long after a movie begins! Thank you so much to Knox O-Zone Village and everyone involved for the smooth running and operation for all that as well as how clean and beautifully presented the VJUNIOR cinema is top, we are so grateful! They too deserve every acknowledgement and reward for it!
And as I mentioned in my previous 100% Google review, to sum it up, I myself thank everyone single employee (from 1995 to now in 2024) of both Knox O-Zone Village Cinemas (which has existed since 2002) and Knox Village Cinemas (which exists until 2002) for 29 years (I first watched Toy Story there in 1995 as a teenager) of cinema movie watching experiences that are super awesome to in every way! Including how in our second last visit to Knox O-Zone Village on 20/10/2024 on the day Kate and I saw the 3:45pm session of The Wild Robot - as I mentioned in my previous 100% positive Google review - how the employee at the concession stand was so nice, friendly and helpful in serving us our fresh hot buttered popcorn and facilitating our purchase of all our snacks and drinks, making nice friendly fun conversation too, and she too is deserving of all the acknowledgement and rewards Village Cinemas concession offer her so many thanks and lots of gratitude to her too!
To sum it up...next time you're in Wantirna South, most definitely if you have time, go watch a movie you have been longing to see at Knox O-Zone Village, you will be absolutely blown away in every single way like...
Read moreI come here quite regularly (minimum once a week), and am consistently disappointed. Candy bar is absurdly overpriced ($9 bags of lollies????), tickets are expensive if you don't go on Tuesday (admittedly the Cheap Tuesdays with VRewards is a great deal at $11.50 a ticket), and the state of the cinemas is disappointingly poor. The projectors often have issues visually, with some having bright blue dots in random places on the screens or discolourations elsewhere on the screen. The cinemas are rarely cleaned during the week, and when they are it's often to a very poor standard (I understand some films have a short turnaround time and you need to get people in for the next session, but at a minimum you should pick up the rubbish on the seats). Also there have been more than a few occasions in the smaller cinemas that I have seen mice/rats scurrying along the floor mid-session, which staff have responded to every time with "oh I'll let someone know". I first saw rodents in March 2023 and have seen him them sporadically (including today in Cinema 5 if you are interested). There's also far too few staff rostered on. The amount of times I wander in, purchase my ticket at the self serve kiosk (as there's no staff at the candy bar), head on up to the cinemas (where there is no staff member to scan tickets), and wander into the cinema (which hasn't had a staff member come and clean it) is surprising and honestly poor form. There's a good range of films on offer which is nice, and Europa tends to be decently well maintained, but I am extremely disappointed with the fall off in quality...
