A Local's Perspective on Westfield Fountain Gate
As a frequent visitor and a long time resident of the neighborhood, Westfield Fountain Gate has become an integral part of my life in Narre Warren, Victoria. It is a hub of bustling activity, offering a fantastic selection of over 400 stores, including major retailers such as Kmart, Target, Big W, Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, and Myer. This makes it a one-stop-shop for all my shopping needs, whether it's groceries or clothing, homewares or electronics.
The centre is well-managed and maintained, which is a testament to the efficiency of the Westfield team. The staff members here are generally friendly and go out of their way to assist shoppers, which adds to the overall positive experience. Not to mention, the ample parking spaces and public transport access make it easy for both locals and visitors to reach.
Fountain Gate doesn't just cater to shopping; it's also a hub for entertainment and dining. The variety of restaurants, cinemas, and the occasional bingo session, is great for a fun family outing or an evening with friends. The centre also hosts various events and promotions, adding a dash of excitement to everyday shopping.
While the centre is steeped in popular culture, being the setting for the beloved comedy series "Kath and Kim", it's not without its downsides. Due to its size, the centre can often become crowded and noisy, particularly during peak hours and school holidays. This, coupled with its somewhat confusing layout, can sometimes make for a stressful shopping experience.
Shopping or dining at some of the high-end brands and restaurants can also prove pricey, and the long queues and waiting times at certain facilities (like the cinemas and food court) can sometimes test your patience.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the overall experience at Westfield Fountain Gate is enjoyable. As with any large centre, planning ahead, checking the website for updates, and trying to avoid peak periods can greatly enhance your shopping experience.
In conclusion, Westfield Fountain Gate offers a well-rounded, albeit occasionally crowded shopping, dining, and entertainment experience right in the heart of Narre Warren. It's a place I frequent and will continue to do so in the future.
I would recommend this place to anyone who appreciates the convenience of having everything under one roof but would advise newcomers to be prepared for the...
Read moreI’m giving 4 stars for the service I received from Kelsey the manager of kitchen homewares Myers, who helped me after a very bad encounter with another service attendant. I was told she was doing her due diligence but I believe this was just Kelsey being amicable as she had already admitted to me on the phone that what I experienced was horrible experience. I am a DV victim. I had been given vouchers to replace stolen items etc… there was a sale on pots that had ended on the Sunday but it was still showing online at the same price till I put the item in my cart and then the price changed… So I went in store. I showed this to the attendant at the kitchen homewares on the day, Marg; and asked if she could honour the price as the price was still showing online. She said no. I told her my situation. She still said no. I went to another counter as I wanted to speak to someone else and she followed me through the store to tell the other person basically not to talk to me. I asked to speak to the manager. She said she was. When I called the next day to speak to the manager of kitchen homewares, Kelsey informed me she is the manager. So Marg was not the manager, she is a service attendant with a power trip, no compassion and has an issue for no apparent reason (can you imagine what I’m getting at?)… Kelsey put the pots aside for me at the discounted price and when I saw the mint green was more of a green green and opted for the cream white pots instead, she allowed me to swap them and have them delivered to my home with the delivery costs waved. I think there should be higher consequences for people like Marg who don’t understand what people are going through in their personal lives and don’t need greater obstacles thrown at them around pots and more importantly more bullies. It had nothing to do with due diligence when you’re following me around the store but more so a projection of your own issues that your projecting onto others. Mind yourself and find greater ambitions then making the lives of others harder than what they have to be. I suggest a greater ambition is a service that actually provides customer service to...
Read morein this shopping centre and usually car park on the rooftop near Aldi and Woolworths. Unfortunately, there is no security at all. About two months ago, three young men tried to steal my car, causing damage to the car & broken the window and computer system. Luckily, I arrived in time, and they ran away. The car had to stay in the repair shop for two months.
After getting my car back, another incident happened just a few days ago. The man responsible for collecting the trolleys left them loose during strong wind, and one almost hit my car. I had to quickly get out and catch it in time.
Another problem is that the trolleys here are not locked with a coin system, so unfortunately some irresponsible, lazy individuals just leave them anywhere they like. and no one seems to take responsibility for this. If a trolley hits a cars it can cause serious damage and costs. Sadly, it seems like this shopping centre does not care about these issues at all. (.of course Unfortunately, the same thing happened again this Saturday. After work, when I returned to my car, I saw that someone had left a trolley next to the back door of my car and left, and unfortunately, the car was damaged again. Sadly, there are many such foolish, inconsiderate, and careless people.
Firstly, I request that you review the CCTV footage from that area. Secondly, if all trolleys required a coin deposit so that people are forced to return them to the proper place, and if it was regularly announced that in such cases you are obliged to provide the footage to the car owners, these incidents would not happen so often.
You are responsible for this centre, and you should take steps to improve the situation and educate inconsiderate people about proper manners. I only got my car back from the repair shop less than two weeks ago, and both incidents happened in this centre.
I kindly ask you to follow this up. The people who work here are not at fault, yet they are also affected by the behaviour of these...
