My Husband and I had a booking on 30/10/2020 (last Friday) at 6.00PM for 2 people. I had COVID like symptoms and told my husband to call and cancel our reservation in respect of other customers and having to abide by Government restrictions. My husband tried calling at 5.30PM (when they open) to cancel the booking out of curtesy however, because the line was busy my husband couldn't get through until 5.40PM to cancel our reservation. When my husband politely requested to cancel our booking the only thing the manager/owner on the phone said was "this really hurts us" and hung up on him.
I was absolutely shocked and called back straight away as this was so unprofessional. I requested to talk to the manager/owner (I was talking to the same man that hung up on my husband) and explained that my husband just called to cancel our reservation for 2 and the man on the phone confirmed that it was him that he spoke to. I told the man that it was very rude the way that he spoke to my husband. The manger/owner kept talking over the top of me saying "it has been very hard during COVID financially and when customers call and cancel it hurts the business" I advised that I understood this however, we called to cancel because I had COVID like symptoms. The manager/owner wasn't even listening to me and kept cutting me off and talking over me than hung-up on me.
It was a Friday night so they would of filled our table of 2 without a problem!
The manager/owner didn't even apologise for the way he spoke to us, nor did he thank us for calling to cancel our booking.
I couldn't believe how the manager/owner spoke to us. Absolutely disgusting and shocking and he definitely needs to realise that talking to customers the way he spoke to us that he is going to lose customers rather than gain more!
I am seriously considering not going back which is a shame because the food is incredible however the service on the phone was nothing...

But the service not treat Asian well and same like OZ. Last time came with OZ friend and the manager nearly come to ask how’s the food every 15 mins. Very good service and friendly. However, This time with two Asian friends, they even not come once to ask and care but we saw other table they keep asking and service.
So feeling not too good.
For example! To be an Asian we normally use bowl to eat rice, but when I asking three bow for us, the waitress told me them don’t have enough bowl?! Ridiculous 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️ A famous restaurant with not enough bowl for customers. Just ten mins later, one waitress bring one bowl to our table, then she found she bring to wrong table that bowl is for next table a couple of OZ.
Other thing, when we went to toilet during the meal, the manager warning us why you leave you seat but not wear your mask 😷?! But we saw other man came from toilet didn’t wear it but no one mention, what a joke😕
Well, a great restaurant and good service for treat two ways for different customers.
