Stopped here en route from Sydney to Canberra. It's around a one and a half hour drive if leaving Sydney from the Northern Beaches area. Great kids playpark and benches for picnics. No cafe actually at the lake, however there are quite a few on the main street which is only a 10 min walk from the park. Clean with public toilets and a good path to walk...

Beautiful lake but the fishing has caused multiple horrible injuries to the ducks and turtles. There’s multiple injured birds walking around with broken feet and hooks in their mouths, and turtles have been scoped up dead and covered in wire and hooks.
