Station Coffee House — Restaurant in Mittagong

I visited this place 2 times, the first time in November 2021 and the second time today, 5th March, 2022. For the first time, one thing spoiled the mood - an unfriendly barista! This guy, when I asked him to make me a cappuccino, got very angry.. he came closer to my table and in an angry voice asked me to show him my COVID certificate, when I showed him, he pulled off one of the two tables standing together, where I wanted to sit and drink my coffee, and said that he should take one table from me, because it is too much for one person ... I did not say a word, only nodded and said: It's all right! I just wanted to sit quietly and relax.. I was too tired to go somewhere and look for another place where I can sit! And the second time, today was the same story: I was tired and just came to drink hot chocolate with sweets. I asked the front desk about it and said I would be at that particular table. Everything was fine until this unfriendly, angry barista reappeared. He's brought me a takeaway paper cup and my cake in a box without a fork or spoon, but other people received their orders in beautiful glasses, cups and on beautiful plates... I can't figure out what's wrong?? I let them know that I would drink my chocolate inside and I didn't want takeaway cup and the cake in the box! Also this guy - a barista - when he brought my order, in a very annoyed voice said: Enjoy! I decided, that this was the last time when I have something at this Station Caffe House. Never again, enough is enough! And the price range is not very low with this kind of service.. Mittagong has a lot of nice cafes, I'll find something better! I cannot...

Me and my boyfriend visited the cafe over the mother's day weekend. I can't eat anything with dairy because my baby girl suffers with CMPA so I asked the wait staff which dairy free options were available on the menu thinking they would point out the vegan options, options that don't include dairy or options that could be adapted to leave out or substitute dairy ingredients. First of all the person serving didnt seem at all sure that there were any options on the menu. I spotted a granola bowl on the menu and asked about this but was told it has yoghurt so I asked about the Acai bowl which doesnt usually contain dairy at any cafe Ive ever eaten it at. The person serving said yes that's dairy free so I ordered that. When it arrived it was a large bowl of acai ice cream, 1 or 2 large strawberries haphazardly chopped into thick slices, a child's handful of blueberries, some seeds and some coconut shavings thrown on top. The presentation was far from the photo shown on the website or a google search and most of the ingredients were missing - no banana, no granola, no raspberries, no chia pudding let alone fancy flowers shown in the photos. So disappointed. The cafe is really well reviewed and was recommended so maybe we caught then on a bad day, maybe they didnt like me asking for a dairy free option? My boyfriend ordered the french toast which he enjoyed but again the service was poor - the person serving plonked it down on the table without even looking at us before turning away. Staff had to be prompted to bring cutlery. Sadly cant recommend based on...

This place isn’t worth the hype. The food is not worth the price. I payed 29.2 dollars for a big breakfast where nothing was cooked properly. The mushrooms were burned, and had been fully charred and tasting like cinnamon, which was disgusting. Is it really that hard to cook mushrooms, and clean your grill. The bacon was burnt and was so salty i gagged. The poached eggs I received were over cooked and grey, after i asked them to be runny. The tomato was bland and lacked so much flavour. The only good part was the bread and hash browns.

The atmosphere of the coffee shop was nauseating, you have a small space with loud people and music booming over the speaker. You had to yell to communicate with others and you couldn’t even think.

The place was dirty. The water jug has crusted gunk over the top, the glasses were smudged and not even clean. On the wall near the register you had staffs half drunk coffee sitting on the walls for everyone to see. My coffee saucer has fine hair on it, a couple actually and that was disgusting.
