Il trullo Ristorante Pizzeria — Restaurant in Mittagong

Good food but thats it… :(

I was there with a friend for dinner. We ordered two pizzas and bread with olives to start the dinner off.

We sat at a single table wich wasn’t stable so it was shaking every time either one of us started cutting the pizza…

After ordering two pizzas we didn’t get asked if we want to have it in one go or after each other. We ended up eating the first pizza (bruschetta pizza) and then waiting for 15min ish to get the other pizza.

The service wasn’t good, we needed to wait the whole time for everything (menu, pizza, dessert menu) We left after waiting too long for the dessert card… The 5 different menu’s were brought to our table and just stacked on it without any explanation what what is. The atmosphere also was cold and not like a real Italian restaurant. The knives for the pizza weren’t sharp at all so we needed to fight through or eat with our hands.

I hope they work on the service and the atmosphere. The pizza itself was actually very good.

A Truly Outstanding Italian Dining Experience!

I had the pleasure of dining at Il Trullo Ristorante Pizzeria, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was absolutely top-notch.

A special mention to Francisca, a young and beautiful true Italian lady who provided outstanding service. She was attentive, friendly, and made the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The staff as a whole were excellent—professional, welcoming, and clearly passionate about what they do.

As for the food, it was nothing short of amazing. I had the lamb, slow-cooked for 18 hours, and it was incredibly tender and full of rich, deep flavors. Every bite was a delight!

This was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve had, and I will absolutely be returning. Thank you to everyone at Il Trullo for your wonderful...

Superp. Bellissimo. Wonderful. From the minute we walked through the door we were impressed. The warmth of the greeting from the owner was amazing. The service that followed was very impressive. We thoroughly enjoyed our breads (with olives and balsamic/olive oil), our melted camembert with caramelized onions, and the beef cheek pasta special. The food was all absolutely beautiful and we were very full at the completion of our dining, only to be served a complimentary slice of a homemade chocolate cheesecake which was divine. The owner had been talking to us about Italy and was so generous in giving us the dessert (thankfully we got to walk it off on our way back to our nights accommodation). If you live in, or are visiting Mittagong, do yourself a special favour and go to Il Trullo. You will enjoy...
