The ultimate panorama of Noosa is just a short drive away from the town's bustling hub of Hastings Street, and provides sweeping, expansive views that extend out as far as the Glasshouse Mountains in the distance. The site of Laguna Lookout itself is fairly simple - it's merely an extended terrace with a fenced barrier that juts out from the hillside, and there are no facilities such as picnic tables to speak of - however there's no denying it's the perfect spot for a photoshoot of Noosa's picturesque town/beach/waterway environment.

The lookout is especially gorgeous to visit during sunset, as the colours play with the already pretty terrain to create something truly special. Grab some evening takeaway from town, head up the hill, and kick back and admire the lovely view accompanied by a bite to eat and a glass of wine for the perfect way to cap off any day in Noosa - and all just a 5 minute drive from the centre of town. Alternatively, more energetic travellers can instead opt to walk their way up a well-maintained path (around 1.3km in total) that's not particularly steep although does contain a substantial number of steps, making it both pram and wheelchair-unfriendly.

Ample parking is available, and it's seldom too crowded at any time of day aside from right on sunset, while bringing along with it the occasional dash of native animal and bird...

Lagoona Lookout at Noosa National Park is undeniably one of the finest spots to witness a breathtaking sunset. While accessible by vehicles, I highly recommend the walk for an immersive experience. As you arrive, the sight of small boats gently gliding on the lake, accompanied by mesmerizing sounds, creates a tranquil ambiance.

This spot isn't overly crowded, offering a serene setting. However, if you plan to catch the sunset, arriving on time is key, as the view point tends to get busier closer to sunset. It's an ideal spot for those seeking a peaceful yet unforgettable...

This is one of the best places In Noosa to take a glance over the entirety of Noosa and catch a view of the sunset. You can access it either by the steps from the back of Hasting Street or from Laguna Drive in Noosa Junction. If you go through Laguna Drive you will be met with a nice drive through some of the remaining old growth forest in Noosa.

In recent years the council has refurbished the existing viewing platforms and added a dedicated car park to solve traffic problems. Do be aware that it is a national park so no dogs, cats or other domesticated animals are allowed...

Nice lookout, mostly over the river side of Noosa area. For those looking for a great walk.. uphill on the way up and all downhill back, take one of the walks. One is shorter and has steps and steep from the first roundabout at Noosa. The other is along the road up the hill that goes down to Noosa (500m), turn left at the 2nd street, walk 500m uphill past houses then through beautiful quiet, cool forest (900m). All up about 2.1km by road from Hastings St...50ish mins there with a couple of short breaks and 35 mins back. Or be lazy and drive there in 5!
