Park & Cove — Restaurant in Queensland

Went with a group of 12 on Christmas day for their buffet/drinks package.

The service from the moment we walked in was spot on. We were greeted at the door with big smiles and the choice of either a beer or Mimosa.

We were then shown to our table which was decorated beautifully, we also chose to be in the air-conditioned section which was perfect as it was it was a bit muggy in the outdoor section.

The seafood platter that was brought to our table was absolutely beautiful, plentiful and very fresh, best bugs we've had in while. There was a selection of oysters, mussels, bugs, prawns, octopus and smoked salmon. We were also allowed to take the leftovers home upon request as we didn't want it going to waste.

The roast carvery buffet and the dessert buffet were also spot on, everything was cooked perfectly in our opinion and there were enough choices when it came to the desserts.

What we got for what we paid was absolute value.

We also had all intentions of taking loads of pictures but only got around to taking one picture of the seafood platter.

A special mention also for Josephine who looked after our table along with other tables. She had her work cut out for her however she was all smiles, very friendly and very attentive throughout the entire time we were there.

We will certainly be back for another wonderful experience.

Beautiful spot and that’s where it ends unfortunately. I’ve stayed all over the world and this was by far the most unprofessional, unfriendly and dirty accommodation I’ve stayed in. Staff don’t even greet u and they all give u the wrong information. Bar and restaurant closed as they had a wedding on so we couldn’t eat or drink at the resort. Couldn’t even use our drink vouchers 😂 We were told so many different things and different instructions by different staff members then told by other staff members we were in the wrong spot or doing the wrong thing.. We tried to get room service and we were told to call back then when we did we were told to seek alternative options as they were to busy. Had to ring to get our room cleaned and they came at 4pm.. This is only the beginning I wish I could upload photos of the mould, cockroaches and uncleanliness that we encountered. It’s unbelievable really as we were staying there for a birthday and had 5 rooms booked $500 a night!!!!! Everyone in our group was treated the same and experienced the same customer service. The manager couldn’t even look us in the eye. I like how they get back to the reply’s like they care.. Honestly please don’t waste your time at the establishment, they look good on paper and that’s it.. There’s so many other well maintained and serviced accommodation here please Go somewhere else you...

I am only reviewing the experience on the billing not the taste of the food because food was really nice but the staff that handled our billing was careless. There were 13 of us that dined in yesterday night for a 40th birthday and we were told we can pay separately at the counter. We paid all our bills but apparently, we still owe $74. I tried to ask why and how that happened because we are pretty sure everyone paid for their food and drinks individually. To avoid confrontation, we just decided to pay for it. Some of us paid in cards and some in cash. We got the receipt but only got the chance to look at it closely when we headed to a friend's place to have some cake that we are not allowed to eat at the restaurant (which was understandable). We checked and sure enough he charged us for the food which were itemised. What he forgot to do though was to input the cash i paid of $78. It wasn't on our official docket. And I'm pretty sure i did pay for my meal for $78. A few of our friends paid extra too as tip but I guess they helped themselves by confusing guests to pay again for something it was already paid for. Really disappointed. Won't be rushing back to go there again. We try to help local businesses especially during these trying times but let's not rip...
