One of the larger reserves in Perthโs northern suburbs and well worth a visit, Iโve been coming here since I was in high school and could probably navigate my way blindfolded but it never ceases to amaze me the abundance of flora and fauna that still flourish here after all these years.
If you are lucky you may get to see a bandicoot (Quenda) or two, yet they are so scarce due primarily to the neighbouring homes which still allow pet cats to roam free.
The friends of star swamp do an exceptional job of maintaining this beautiful reserve and should be commended on their efforts for without them in almost certain that many species of plant and animal would have gone extinct in the area.
Drop in for a walk and observe the signposts which detail some of the interesting aboriginal history and droving that took place here....

If you would like to make a booking with the plant expert and animal experts in the place they're quite willing to take you for a walk as well. Just be prepared for a nice slow walk where you bring a camera if you would like photos by yourself of flowers plants wildlife. this time of the year make sure you packing the water container because it is hot from the early in the morning like it was today.
