The DFO in Perth is no comparison to their counterparts in Melbourne and Sydney. Perth DFO does however have a wide range different stores, however most are designer or high-end stores. Very easy to walk around with the design a horseshoe shape with food outlets in the middle. The variety of food outlets is not a great many with prices being expensive for the range they have. The first day I went to the DFO there was hardly anyone there and at least 30% of the stores were closed. This was on a Thursday evening when they were supposed to be open till 9 p.m. for a special event. Very disappointed with the stores being closed as there were some that I specifically went to the DFO to shop at. I had money to spend but unfortunately these shops didn't get any of my money with them being closed. I decided to go for a second time visit just the other day during the day on a Saturday just to compare to my last visit. It was definitely a little bit busier than last time for sure. I got there upon opening and there were a few people waiting to go in. You do have to pay for parking which cost you $5 for 3 hours. I spent a lot of time there this time especially in the shoe stores and I did buy a few things. I went with family as well and they spent a bit of time there as well. We did come out with quite a few things which were again possibly around 30 percent cheaper than retail stores although you do have to know your prices as some things are not cheaper at all and you can get them cheaper at normal retail stores when they have 50% off sales. I did however get a bit of a shock when we came out as we were all in wo cars , mine and another family members and because we were there 5 hours the parking cost us $20 each. So what we were possibly saving on shopping we spent on parking. A little disappointing with that too. I think if you spend 3 hours or more there and you buy things they should validate your ticket so you don't have to pay for any parking. Just a suggestion to management as I think that will bring more people into the DFO as speaking to other people since then a lot of people have said they don't go because of the cost of parking, the same as they don't go into the city because of the cost of parking so they just go to shopping centres where you don't have to pay. So in a nutshell, Prices at DFO are a little cheaper than what you would buy normally so if you're looking to pick up something cheaper than the normal price then the DFO is the place to go but only if you're going to spend up big. I would say you would save around 30% on average from the normal prices. I think the DFO in Perth needs to do a lot more advertising with different shops contributing to advertising to bring the crowds of people in otherwise I don't think it will be around for much longer. Finally I think there should be something done about the parking cost and maybe validating shoppers tickets . Sad to say as the potential is...
Read moreI recently visited a shopping center that offers a good range of kitchen, home, bedroom, retail, clothing, and luxury brands. The variety of stores is impressive, catering to a wide array of tastes and preferences. If you are familiar with and fond of these brands, you will likely find the shopping experience quite enjoyable.
One of the highlights of this shopping center is the sale periods. During these times, the range of products and the discounts available are really decent, making it a great opportunity to snag some good deals. The location is also quite convenient, being close to the airport, although it is situated in a somewhat random area. Despite this, there is plenty of parking available, which is a significant advantage. The parking policy includes one hour of free parking, after which it becomes paid. However, you have to pay at the store, and there is no number plate recognition system, which can be a bit inconvenient.
On the downside, the food court leaves much to be desired. The options are quite limited, with only a Subway, two sushi places, Mad Mex, and a Chinese restaurant. This lack of variety can be disappointing, especially if you are looking for a more diverse dining experience.
Overall, my experience at this shopping center was mixed. It is a great place to visit if you know and love the brands available, as you can find some good deals and enjoy a decent shopping experience. However, if you are not familiar with the brands, it might not be worth going out of your way to visit. The limited food court options and the somewhat inconvenient parking system are also factors to consider when deciding whether to...
Read moreShopping at 2am previous morning for sneakers for my granddaughters. Found FILA site and purchased 2prs of shoes. An email later in the morning let me know they were ready for pickup. Didn't get past universal store and had purchased a tshirt for my son. Said son had disappeared and we ended up at food court. He had chinese and I had wonton soup which was cooked fresh. Delicious. Warning ⚠️ be hungry or get extra set of chopsticks and spoon and share with someone. I barely made a dent in mine and son was too full from his plate. Purchased a large take home container and we had leftovers for dinner. Back to why we were there FILA. Shoes were ready. One slight problem one pair had no shoelaces as they were slip-ons. Needed shoes that wouldn't slip off. A pair that I was after when buying was actually available. At 2am they weren't. So purchased that as well.
On way, out stopped for icecream at Lindt choc shop. And of course boxes of chocs. Blueberries and cream and raspberries and cream limited edition chocs. Get in fast for them. A few...
