Mushroom Tunnel Picton — Attraction in Picton

Old Picton train tunnel. Entrance off main Rd is a green gate, recommend driving a Suv or 4wd as gets wet, muddy and driving over balast on the dirt track. Inside tunnel gets water inside so not allways able to walk through. Nice to see the old tunnel still standing strong. Feel free to follow Wozzel local guide on Google maps. My brother and his friends went there at night since they searched the place up and saw it was haunted. They were making fun of the ‘ghost’ up until they saw a legit steam train pass by for a few seconds and heard a woman pull out the most gut wrenching scream. They ran away and one of the guys screamed i hate you. On the car window was written ‘i ❤️ emily’ which was the ghost they were making fun of. Do not recommend. If you go, don’t go alone...

Stop and listen when you're here, for the silence alone in the tunnel is scary, but knowing the past alone is even more scary.

Odd opening hours but it's due to the safety of the old site. If you feel brave. Make your way up to the cemetery.. for there's more than one tale...
