The only real cafe with a bit of variety in Picton. Hard surfaces so it's not quiet for an intimate conversation The chairs aren't so comfortable but you don't usually stay there long. Good variety of drinks coffee tea smoothies milkshakes, cakes, yummy looking desserts & pastries. They don't have any gluten-free so we just had chips which still could be risky. Clean toilets, access to restaurant from rear car park which is very handy considering there's little to no parking out front. The service is really good they are really friendly and helpful we had a problem with our drinks which they fixed up immediately and apologized profusely. They are simply not used to customers with intolerances but progress is coming!! They should look at food intolerance is as a business opportunity rather than see customers walk out because they can't eat anything on the menu. That probably comes with serving healthy country customers!! I still would recommend this...
Read morebeen coming here literally for like 16 years. I’ve never had a bad experience here. we came in today and as always, had amazing food and drinks and what’s better is that the pricing is EXTREMELY REASONABLE!
The food was absolutely delicious, filling and not greasy at all! The same few staff have been there for years so I hope they get the recognition they deserve for always giving 110% to every customer.
We were close to licking our plates lol cannot emphasise the quality of everything!!
We popped back in 5-10 minutes before close, as we forgot to purchase some pies and (I believe he’s the chef), was quick to help us and did so with a very positive attitude. Thank you for accomodating our last minute pie purchase! Haha!
Anyway. We really love this place and think it’s what brings people to Picton in the first place. We certainly always come here whenever we’re in town and are always leaving feeling happy, full and excited to be back...
Read moreWithout a doubt, the best coffee in Picton. The pies and gorgeous pastries are made onsite as are the speciality breads. The meal portions are generous and the menu has something for everyone. The kitchen in visible from the eatery and is spotless as is the entire café. Plenty of parking at the rear of the building with covered outdoor seating at the front of the building. The staff are friendly, attentive and eager to please. Check the menu board as seasonal dishes and specials are offered and keep an eye out for the soups, perfect on those cold winter days after a chilly ride through the southern highlands. Arriving early the bacon, eggs, tomato, mushroom and toast are my go to breakfast followed by coffee as the smell of cooking pastries waft through the café. The small lemon tarts and that wonderful coffee are a perfect combination for morning tea. My...
