I do see myself as a true self appointed expert of Thai cuisine as it’s my all time favourite :). Having just moved to Picton I was hesitant to find my new Thai joint. We ordered T/A. The team were friendly, efficient and literally only took 2 mins longer than the expected time so no complaints there. Restaurant was packed, not a spare seat! The Penang and curry puffs were spot on! I loved the Penang actually. The Chicken cashewnut was nice and fresh however was basically the flavour of a stirfry and you had to search hard for a nut so not really a typical cashew nut flavour. Pad Thai was ok, a little too heavy on the fish sauce for my liking. I read another comment about the chicken and I do agree however I think it’s because it’s been parboiled and re cooked. The serving size of dished were generous and worth the $. I’ll be back again, I always like to try a place a few times as you can have different results from chefs on different days. Overall, It’s not bad for Picton. Also one last note, it’s CASH ONLY. eftpos facilities would be great. In this day and age it’s just so much easier and now more hygienic to be cashless. Give Thai Recipes it a go.

Food flavourfull .. Quantity super enough for 2..atmosphere quiet, so you can enjoy your food. And above all very decently priced. Their kids menu is good, my kids finished all wings ,rice and even veges from our stir fry..I loved their wall art.. very friendly and homely atmosphere, big portions, and a dedicated family runs this beautiful Thai restaurant. They were busy with takeaway, probably because it was Sunday evening.. an extra touch of fortune cookies on your plate is very charming. Highly recommend. We ended up doing takeaway as well since we couldn't finish it all.

A kind lady told us they could make everything vegan which was a pleasant moment. We chose vegan laksa and vegan red curry. The serving was beautiful! Like in the expensive restaurants. But the price was really attractive! Around $25 for two dishes. Much cheaper than in Sydney. I'd give them 5 stars if they had a clear indication of vegan options in the menu (it had zero vegan marks actually, so we had to ask for it). Anyway, the quality of the dishes was impressive! Definitely will be back when we are again in Picton 💚

Terrible!! It's turned me off eating Thai again, the worst ever! And to top it off I ordered coconut rice at the last minute to my order and was standing up at counter waiting for my rice, the girl that was making it dipped her finger not only once but twice into my coconut rice to see if the taste was ok then added a little of something to it as it probably wasn't enough added, that is bad hygiene, I didn't say anything il never go back nor waste my money there again, the girl was Asian looking with short dark hair, so be aware of them test tasting ur food before putting in container, always watch if ordering from here...

I moved to Picton recently from the Wollongong region and was in search of a new Thai restaurant. I had really high hopes for this business as the atmosphere is perfect and the service is great, but unfortunately after trying a few times to enjoy my meals I won't be returning. There's something wrong with the chicken, it's very very rubbery and a few times has been basically inedible. I really wanted to like this place, everything else was perfect! I may try a vegetarian meal in the future to see how that goes. I must say that my partner doesn't seem to mind the chicken although he can notice the difference....
