NRMA Insurance — Local services in Picton

This review is not related to the Picton office nor any branch from previous experience. The people in the branches are great and hard working.

This refers to the NRMA insurance organisation, online systems, repair assessment process, phone in support, and other systems.

NRMA Road Side assistance is a wonderful service (* 5 stars). The company and its history are part of the Australian motoring history. They are reliable and trusted.

Sadly , the NRMA brand is diminished by the insurance company.

Saying this, the NRMA insurance company is a company that requires a complete overhaul. The insurance division has lost its focus on their customers and offering such a substandard, poor service, at every interaction. Long wait times, dealing with overseas call centres, slow follow-up, and an archaic 90s slow voice system. which incidently one tends to go around in circles.

Not to forget the difficulty in getting onto the local managers. It seems as a customer that the whole executive team hides from any customer interaction. I do wonder if the CEO is getting customer feedback on the current state of play within the organisation.

Their reliance on overseas call centres is most likely a cost saving exercise rather than a customer focus goal. It just doesn't work !

There are many people here in this country that can provide a realistic localised service. Not a scripted one.

Perhaps the execs from the NRMA Road Side group could teach the insurance group execs how to do things the right way. That is, customer first..the right thing to do !

Unless they get their act together, I would shop elsewhere. Irrespective of your insurance provider, please get the NRMA Roadside Support , it's worth...
