Tamburlaine Organic Wines — Attraction in Pokolbin

So.. our journey to Tamburlaine was accidental, but I'll call it "fated", since we were introduced to this winery while looking for wines in a BWS just the night before. This was the Wild Mountain Cabernet Merlot from 2023, and it was really delicious. And since it was near our accommodation, why not? But having come to Tamburlaine Wines, we were not only amazed at the range of organic wines they had, but also their own line of gins.

Starting with the wines, while we did not touch the reserve wines, we were introduced to the other ranges of wine where the lovely staff (I'm so sorry I did not get your name!) not only guided us patiently through my first wine tasting, but also offered recommendations based on our tasting preferences. These consisted of some less common white wines, one of which I still find difficulty pronouncing, but also some common reds including their house blends.

With the gin, I definitely remembered the Sauvignon Infused gin as that was really beautiful; sweet yet with the colourful tang of juniper hitting the back of the throat. They also had a citrus and a savoury one, which I felt were very remarkable gins and could compete with some of the ones readily available in our local markets.

And at the end of it, not only did we have a wonderful tasting experience, but we also came away with a dozen bottles of wine and one bottle of gin. And I certainly will be happy to continually support Tamburlaine wines, not just for their sustainability practices, but their creativity in adversity with the bush fires, and the bravery to deviate from wine making to create new products.

We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the delightful offerings of Tamburlaine Wine, and I must say, it was a truly exceptional experience. From the moment we arrived for the wine tasting, I was impressed by the impeccable customer service and warm welcome extended to me and my children.

They provide a diverse selection of wines that cater to a range of preferences, showcasing a dedication to quality and craftsmanship. The attention to detail in the winemaking process is evident in the rich flavours and smooth textures of each pour and what I loved about is that it’s organic!

What truly stood out during my visit was the inclusive and family-friendly atmosphere at Tumble Lane Wine. I appreciated how my kids were not only welcomed but also made to feel at home, allowing me to enjoy the wine tasting experience without any worries.

The wines themselves were a delight to the palate, with a variety of reds, whites, and rosés that offered a unique and enjoyable tasting journey. We bought some bottles home!!

In addition to the exceptional wine selection, the lady’s that was serving us had outstanding customer service and welcoming environment made our visit truly memorable. The staff's attentiveness, knowledge and love for wine is evident and the genuine hospitality added an extra layer of enjoyment to the tasting experience.

Tamburlaine is the BEST venue for a wedding. Having a ceremony and reception all in the one place, whilst also getting our entire photo gallery taken onsite is a huge win. The ceremony can be held however you like on the lawn, or a wet weather option on the deck (so beautiful we almost chose to have it here whilst sunny). The layout of the reception is catered to your liking, with a large room that allowed us to have our dream set up. There is a huge selection of food options for entree, main, and dessert. This also includes a pre dinner drink and canapes hour whilst we were off getting couple photos. Our guests and ourselves were looked after during the night with Tamburlaines great staff, and no one could wipe the smile off their face. All of this is the reason this is the BEST venue for a wedding, but the cherry on top is the wedding coordinator Crystal. From the initial meet she was calm, knowledgeable, and professional. She continued to keep in contact for the build up to the day, and on the day was absolutely brilliant.
