Regularly go here. Locals love this park. Parking is a bit difficult on weekends due to amazing popularity of Burleigh. Just keep driving around n around until you fluke a park. Be mindful of parking restrictions. Most of Burleigh beachfront parking is 3 hours max. Go over a minute and you will 100% get a ticket. Sensors in car space alert officers of every parking space, every minute, so they will be at the ready plus they are constantly roaming the area. Some areas like top of hill from disabled space up to headland are free but 3 hour max. If in doubt ask someone, as area is poorly signposted where is free parking and where isn't free parking. So ask!
Then go to the park sit and enjoy fish n chips as a lovely Sunday outing. Fish Monger in James Street (the main street in Burleigh), has amazing, 'fresh' fish, prawns. Brilliant quick service. Quality. Great price.. in regards to the Park, it's a great park. Shady, lots of grass, right on the beachfront at Burleigh Heads. Lots of room for kids to play with a ball, lay out a picnic rug, plus huge playground with swings, slides, climbing bars. Toilets/disabled toilets, cold beachfront shower, water bubblers. Park benches, some are covered. Gas BBQ's. Lots of lorikeet birds go crazy on dusk, a beautiful...
Read moreBeautiful part of the gold coast. Massive shaded grass area. Free Bbq areas. Massive undercover areas. Free gym equipment along a beautiful flat wide path that runs right along the oceanside.
The beaches are all dog on lead friendly and they supply plastic poop bags for their business.
There is heaps of bins along the path and at the entry to beach locations, unfortunately not everyone knows how to use a bin.
The northern end of the park a 5-10min stroll along the path will lead you to north burleigh lookout. It is just stunning the views down to surfers paradise.
A short work further south will lead you to the burleigh hill nature reserve. A beautiful short stroll either around or over the hill.
A lot of the year there seems to be sand dredging as the beach gets destroyed by tides and erosion. In saying that the beach always has beautiful golden sand and plenty of room for everyone to enjoy.
There is a heap of parking along the road and near the surf life saving club carpark. Busy on weekends and when there is an event on.
Great place for a walk, a swim, a picnic, a park party or just a relaxing place to lay on the grass, sand or park benches and enjoy the...
Read moreHere I am at the park, I was going to give it 4 stars because I didn't see Justin but then I realised I was being irrational as I was tired (as pictured) so I did some soup searching haha thanks to Justin and his park as it was still very good and really I think maybe it is worth SIX stars but I am not allowed/able to leave such an amount so I revised it to 5, haha hope that makes sense. Anyway here I found out the true meaning of what it means to be happy. The trick is not to over think it and just live in the moment because ever lasting happiness only comes from living in the moment IMHO haha so yeah left the boys here 5 stars, still desperate to see Justin though (where TF is he) but no matter, I will continue to hold my head high and will review this park and any other Justin themed avenue 5...
