I recently visited Choji Yakiniku and had a great experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant was warm and inviting, with a modern decor and cozy seating.
The highlight of the meal was definitely the yakiniku - the meat was of high quality and the grilling experience was interactive and fun. The staff were also helpful in guiding us through the menu and making recommendations.
One thing that stood out to me was the variety of options available. They had a great selection of meats, including some less common cuts that were really interesting to try. They also had a range of sides and sauces that complemented the meat well.
The drinks menu was also impressive, with a good range of sake, beer, and other beverages to choose from. The prices were reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and the experience.
It is a 10-15min walk from Chatswood Station (not very close) but if you are driving, there is lots of off street parking.
Overall, I would highly recommend Choji Yakiniku to anyone who loves grilled meat and is looking for a unique dining experience. The quality of the food, the friendly service, and the inviting atmosphere all make for a...

Read moreWe visited this relatively new Japanese BBQ place for dinner and lunch. We tried varied wagyu cuts for BBQ dinner and the half ox-tongue, half pork neck grill donburi set the day after for lunch. The quality of the wagyu cuts are great and perfect with Japanese BBQ sauce. We love the ox-tongue, wagyu ribs and flap cuts. The grill donburi lunch set was also great with good portion and complemented with salad, pickle and miso soup.
The place's ambience is nice, not squeezy and quite bright. You order with tablet pad like other Japanese places and orders came quite efficiently. Customer service is OK for suburban casual BBQ joint.
Prices on the menu are not cheap, but still comparable with other Japanese / Korean BBQ places. The meats' great quality and the use of authentic Japanese rice make the prices quite reasonable. You can pay with credit cards (inc AMEX) with no surcharge, which is another sign of great...
