Castlebrook Memorial Park Rouse Hill — Attraction in Sydney

I don’t usually leave reviews but felt like I needed to. Our experience has been extremely disheartening. For over two years, my family and I faced delays, missing plaques, misplacements and a marked headstone. There is a complete lack of communication, from the office and especially our representative at the time, Cheryle, who ignored our calls and emails, only responding when we dropped in unannounced. The issues began in 2022 when they placed our loved one's plaque incorrectly and missed another plaque entirely. After numerous drop-in meetings and excuses, we were told the plaque was discontinued, despite it being something our loved one had specifically chosen, shortly before passing. The worst part. A simple call to another INVOCARE-owned cemetery resulted in us finding the exact plaque within half a day—something Castlebrook claimed they couldn’t do. When we confirmed this, we were told they did not use this supplier anymore. Cheryle then had the nerve to say it would cost $1,700 to place the plaque we tracked down ourselves, with no reimbursement for the original. Only after we had voiced going to the department of fair trading and the media did management get involved and come to a resolution. But we are left with a mark on the headstone which can’t be removed. Two years of mistakes, delays, and still not even an apology from Castlebrook Memorial Park for the mistakes they have made. Or an acknowledgement of the fact their lack of action as added to our grief. The only apology we received was from INVOCARE after filing a formal complaint over all of this. I would recommend anyone who chooses Castlebrook to note everything down and keep copies. I also urge anyone who is going through issues to reach out to INVOCARE as they need to know what is happening. Frankly, we’ve had more support from the cemetery residents...

If I could give a no star I would. I like leaving positive reviews but the service here is awful. Yes the lawns look beautiful. I literally went through nearly everything one of the other bad reviewers went through. My mother passed in November and it is a very difficult time. After numerous calls hoping plaque would be down by her birthday and then Mother’s Day, saying theyd get back to me ( not even once). And wasn’t put down by then. Going to reception and keep telling me I owe such an amount (over $2,000) when it was a huge amount less. Blaming their internet ( seriously get it fixed!) then I went last month to her resting place to see the plaque was on! Not a phone call to tell me! But the worst thing is they put the wrong plaque on! Went to reception and said getting it fixed. Then why didn’t you call so I didn’t get such a shock when I got there??? I finally went last weekend as family wanted to see the resting sight and it’s fixed. Again, yes you guessed it, no phone call. You put me and my family through so much more grief than needed. You need to 1; fix your internet 2, fix your customer service 3, get back to people when you say your going too. 4, fix your billing. The grounds are impeccably maintained, with lush gardens, serene water features, and beautifully landscaped areas that create a tranquil environment. The staff here are incredibly compassionate and professional, making a difficult time much easier for families.
