Crento Italian Collaroy — Restaurant in Sydney

So disappointing. I hope the owner sees this. We booked days earlier. Wanted to take guests. On the night our table near the window was very nearly given away to the person in front of us, if I hadn't interrupted to say 'no!' (and we were right on time). We ordered Bruschetta, to share, which was on pita bread. It was HORRIBLE. Bruschetta is supposed to be all crunchy and juicy and all the juice go into the lovely bread. This was dry, hard, and very very difficult to eat. What a cop out. Out of 4 of us, one ordered pasta, and 3 ordered veal. After I ordered my veal, the waiter told the rest of our table, including our guests that THAT was the last veal and they'd now run out. This was a Sun night, and it was FULL! There were excuses given, but since it was a weekend, it was appalling that the ONLY meat dish was out. I gave 'my' veal to my guest, and I chose a chicken dish which I could have made at home. Our meals....yuck. My guest with the veal had the smallest (obviously leftover bits) of veal I've ever seen served. It wasn't plumped up with extra veges either. Embarrassing. In comparison, his wife had ordered pasta carbonara and was served the most huge heap of pasta, that would serve 3. It was ridiculous. laughable. If I wasn't so embarrassed I would have laughed. My (replacement choice) chicken with prawns was lacklustre and tasted just very ordinary. My husband 's replacement choice of gnocchi gorgonzola must have had the gorgonzola just waved over the top, as it was completely without taste, just cream, and even needed salt. It was the most bland gorgonzola sauce I've ever tasted. Furthermore, no one offered us pepper, or parmesan, and there was no salt and pepper on our table. It was STIFLING hot, despite being fairly cool outside, there seemed to be no airconditioning which made it unbearable. The waiter, who was pleasant enough, had to be waved over a few times, rather busy looking at his phone. While ordering dessert it was explained that the desserts are now 'small', because people can't finish them after their mains. ????? huh??

I had dinner at this restaurant when it first opened, and the owner was wonderful and had a lovely night. this time, I was embarrassed, hot, and left sorry I'd ever booked. It was simply awful. Never again, I even apologised to my overseas guests for 'puttting' them through it. If you are wanting somewhere special, this is...

Wow ! What can I say? This Italian restaurant was such a beautiful experience and excellent food! I’ll explain, such a warm welcoming from the waitress. The waitress was extremely bubbly within her service. The food started with Entrees the beans and THE GARLIC CHEESE PIZZA! Let me tell you, I love garlic, and this place made me love it even more! The pizza was so yummy, I was going to order another one. I remembered I ordered a garlic pasta. Now let me tell you, the pasta was absolutely delicious! Even amount of ingredients and the garlic white wine sauce was devine! Was extremely filling! My friend who I was with loved her prawn pasta and topped it off with some chilies and she said it was delicious!

Oh almost forgot the fruit tingle I ordered ! The waitress had a feeling I was going to order it. First I was going to go the moscato. But nope went to the cocktail! Now that cocktail was amazing! I loved it! Drank every sip!

Highly recommend this beautiful restaurant. I you won’t be disappointed !

WOW....this place is fantastic!

We had a family dinner/reunion here on Saturday night! We came from Bathurst & Melbourne.

The staff are great, our young waitress was always smiling and very attentive without being in your face! the venue is awesome!

The food.....MAN....it was insanely good!

I had the Tegamaccio and it was the best I have ever tasted!

I could taste every spice and it had the right amount of chilli spice.

It was abundant with seafood, mussels, prawns, squid and fish.

The serve was so big I couldn't finish it and they happily put it in a takeaway container for me and I have just had it for breakfast.

It tasted even better!

Everyone enjoyed the meals and kept saying that the portion sizes were great and satisfying.

We will definitely be back!
