One of my favourite beaches. Parking is busy but not as crazy as Manly etc. Sand is very nice, water is quite clear and balmy but cooling temp on a hot summer's day. Beach extends out a fair way so not as short or abrupt as Dee Why or Curl Curl imo. Waves in the flag zone are really enjoyable... they can get to a good size but nothing too crazy, so you will have tons of fun and not get smashed. Some really amazing views too around Freshy. There is a quite impressive RSL up the road towards Curl Curl, nice view and great food from a number of different restaurants, so you have options.

Stunning beach. One of my favourites in Sydney. So much quieter than the surrounding other beaches. Learned to surf or at least my tried to teach me. Calm waters and calm beach. Great clear views and cliffs around. Also did the walk to curl curl that was also really great. Highly recommend this beach and think it’s underrated. Good parking also.

Freshwater beach is a real tourist favourite. It is fairly sheltered by big headlands on both sides so you dont get eaves in as many conditions as you do North or South at Curly or Manly but they are great waves on their day. Fantastic walk along the headlands from Curl Curl and an even more interesting one along the rocks towards Manly.

Freshwater Beach in Sydney is a true coastal gem! Nestled between headlands, it offers stunning views and a more relaxed vibe compared to some of Sydney’s busier beaches. The golden sand and clear waters make it perfect for swimming, and the consistent waves are ideal for surfing, especially for beginners. There’s also a beautiful rock pool on one end of the beach, providing a safe and scenic spot for families or those who prefer calmer waters. The surrounding area is well-maintained, with grassy picnic spots, walking trails, and easy access to cafes nearby. It’s a fantastic place to spend a day soaking up the sun and enjoying the natural beauty Sydney is famous for. A must-visit for...

Great beach Paul was immaculately clean happened to turn up to take some photos of the stars but the Council guys are cleaning the pool. It was quite interesting watching them clean the pool over several hours. The fact that they do it at night would assume that no locals were interrupted but at the same time. You’d have to assume that the locals don’t realise the pools are getting cleaned all the time. I too my hat...
