Brand new restaurant, looks nice, good location and plenty of free parking.
Food - Steaks were slightly overcooked (asked for Medium, both came Medium\Well) there was not enough basting sauce on steak or sauce on Ribs and could barely taste either (compared to Brighton or Top Ryde who load it on), quantities were generous. Kids meals were fine though several items on menu currently unavailable.
Service - The staff were lovely but very inexperienced with a few early teething issues. When ordering we had to stop four times to show the wait staff from the menu what we had ordered as they were not familiar with the menu themselves. Drinks came out over a staggered 15 minute period as opposed to together and one of the kids meals was 10 minutes behind other meals. The night we visited there was many staff for minimal customers, they need to use the downtime to familiarise with their products and menus!
Atmosphere - Whilst not as fancy as some of the other Hurricanes sites it is pleasant, clean and an option of inside of outside dining however there was a really unpleasant sewerage smell coming from inside the Centre (really hope the smell was a one off as it was quite off-putting...)
Overall - Can't say we had value for money on our first visit (was ~$230 for 2 adults and 3 children) given the high price vs quality and service received and was definitely a lower standard experience compared to other Hurricanes. We will try Bankstown again in the future however will give them a few months to settle in and find their feet however if they haven't addressed the above by then we will not...
Read moreWe decided to celebrate my birthday at Hurricanes in Bankstown. We’re a group of 4 and do like to share dishes and try a variety of food. Unfortunately there is not much to recommend here. The mushrooms and garlic prawns were good but overpriced for what you get. At best we got chewy, overcooked grilled octopus. We were served a rack of lamb cold, which we sent back to the kitchen and it returned back hot and even more inedible. The lamb meat chewy, we couldn’t even cut through the rack. It was like sawing through the meat. The quality pretty poor. We did request the lamb be removed from our bill as we could not eat it. They did remove it from the bill but only after we went up to the front desk to pay. If you order the salmon filet they will ask how you like it cooked but they did not give a recommendation of how it should be cooked which should be well medium. Our salmon dish was dry and overcooked. A bit more training for staff on clearing dishes away from the table before attempting to put more dishes down when there is clearly no room would be a start. If you want great food quality, and quality customer service don’t come here. Be prepared for chewy meat you’ll need to saw through if you’re lucky enough for it to come out hot in the first place. Totally disappointed in the experience but enjoyed the company with my family and they had a good garden salad but we came to enjoy the meat which...

What can I say?? First time trying this hurricane's grill at Bankstown.
Cappuccino tasted like hot milk and very light coffee essence
Medium cooked steak was cooked perfectly, however the side of baked potatoes was tasteless. Sour cream was too thick. Not how a normal sour cream should be. And also lacks flavour.
Ribs with sweet potato fries:- Ribs was very little meat Sweet potato fries were crispy. But could do better.
Side choices needs to add mushroom and gravy or black pepper gravy or Diane sauces onto the menu.
Loaded potato wedges could be crispier.
Waitstaff serving our table 11 was polite and well mannered. Happy with his service.
Quite a cosy atmosphere.
Overall, I have to say Circular Quay and Top Ryde Hurricane's Grill are better and quicker. Both with flavour and service. With this hurricane's grill at Bankstown, it's not worth the $159.60 total payment.
This is coming from someone with chef and kitchen hand and waitstaff experience.
They need to get rid of damaged tongs, or crooked ones.
Also the plate that they serve the steak and ribs combo, it tends to be rough when you try cutting the meat and the knife that touches the plate gives this rough/ coarse uncomfortable feeling on your hands and arms. The plate looks nice but needs to have a a...
