Long Reef Beach — Attraction in Sydney

Lovely beach, great parking. What's with the kiosk though that's never open when you want a coffee? At least put a sign up with the opening hours? We arrived ready to spend money but it was closed. We asked around if anyone knew what time it would open but no one knows (which is why a sign would be helpful!) So we went off to spend our coffee and food money elsewhere, and it was open as we were coming back! If we'd known we only had half an hour to wait we would have happily waited. I know when my children attended the Surf School there all the parents were dropping off and wanting to get a coffee but no one had any idea if or when the kiosk would open. SO much...

One of the beautiful Northern beaches in terms of quietness, greenness, cleanness and great waves and smooth sands. Toilets and shower available at the car parking. Good spot to watch surfing and skydiving too. Took a walk by the Golf Club to the Long Reef Headlands and down to the other car park near Fisherman beach. Public toilet also available there. This is a great beach for everyone. There are waves for surfing and body boarding plus it's calm near the lagoon for kids. There is plenty of parking in the car park but it is very expensive at $10 per hour but if you park on the main road in the clearway just outside the car park entrance it is free.
